That's the world we live in... You have men who think they need to be women's heros. Whether it be a judge in family court, a cop responding to a domestic call, or just some random douche bag on the streets. They just assume their own kind are always in the wrong and feel the need to beat their chests.

So basicly it is pure victim blaming, or by the duluth model, the woman is always victim, so the killed husband isn´t the real victim

Regardless of whether or not she did suffer psychological abuse from him, she willingly admitted to killing another person.That in itself is a heinous crime, that deserves punishment.

Would they even be having this conversation if the person she killed was another woman? I consider it unlikely.

Unless there is an immediate danger to your health, murder isn't an acceptable reaction. Yes psychological abuse is a problem and can be extremely harmful but you can still go to the police and report it instead of killing your abuser.
