Do not tell her. If her eyes are gorgeous, she already has received compliments about it from left to right. It will not be special and it will not be novelty. Therefore, if you want to compliment co-workers, do it in regards to their behaviour, such as performing a good task or taking initiative to solve issues.

I don't think you're being paranoid, I think it entirely depends on what sort of environment you're in how high the risks are. If everyone is generally friendly it shouldn't be a problem but if it turns out they're a bunch of hard left feminist lunatics then you should stay the fuck away.

It sucks we even think like this but I'm the same, I have to get a sort of sanity gauge of the kind of people I'm hanging out with before I start getting personal and usually I take a step back and see how they react to things around them. If they're the type of people for example who go absolutely ballistic over the mention of "Trump" or "Brexit" then I'd immediately do what I can to get out of there.

I'm not talking about simple disagreement by the way I'm talking about the types who genuinely get violent or hostile over the mere mention of certain people as they're also going to be the types that are absolute hell to hang out with generally.

I've seen one workplace policy of sexual harassment which explicitly stated that 'unwanted compliments' were sexual harassment. That is ludicrous, since it's fine if it's wanted and you cannot possibly know before you say anything. An increasing minority of women are unreasonable and will unreasonably conclude that is harassment. Don't chance it. You're under no obligation to compliment women. Or, as to refactor an old statement from feminists: "women are not entitled to compliments from men."

Most men find such a comment innocuous and so would most female co-workers, until they decide it isn't. That is what makes what you're thinking of saying so dangerous.

Perhaps she won't make anything of it for a year, perhaps even two. But one day you may get her upset, or try to get the same promotion, or whatever other fickle thing that can set off a women. When that happens, and it will, she will use your innocuous comment as a weapon against you.

It would be pointless anyway. Any woman with a physical feature that striking has already been complimented incessantly about it, all her life. You would only bore her, in the best case. In the worst case, if she finds you repulsive, she will consider it harassment.

That isn't paranoid. That is realistic. Any man would be a fool to compliment any women, especially in the workplace. What do you have to gain by saying something to her? You will be punished. I highly recommend against saying anything that you would think of as "nice" or "complimentary". You have no idea how that will be received and potentially used against you.
