I’m no expert in tennis rules and regulations but as far as I can read, she was given a warning (coaching), deducted a point for smashing the racket and deducted a game for abuse to the umpire. Isn’t that a perfectly understandable course of action?

The fact here is that yet another male professional’s career is going down the drain as the masses call him both sexist and racist for doing his job.

Fight the instances where rules are bent to favor an individual, not those where they are applied correctly.

So is she's saying that the problem of abuse of officials is a solved problem now and she's being treated like any other player today?

How frustrating for her, getting called out on the "you're only doing this because I'm a woman" excuse when it's worked so many times before.

They're clearly not letting her blame it on sexism only because she's a woman.

She's basically saying "I abuse the umpire and get a penalty, but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be the case if a man abused the umpire"

It's not like women haven't said they'd play best-of-5 to shut down this dumb argument.

And are you going to start advocating that other tournaments where women and men both play best-of-3 should start awarding equal prize money (The Italian Open, Rogers Cup and Western and Southern Open all award men twice as much prize money as women)? I doubt it.
