By this logic we should keep children away from women, because statistically women hit and abuse their children way more than men.

Also, men are like 70-80% more likely to be victims of assault compated to women and statistically speaking 70% of domestic violence is done by women against men.

It's weird how people think female = clean, tidy, and easy to deal with.

My parents have been renting spare rooms to university students for the past 18 years and all of our bad tenants were females because they were either filthy and/or entitled and passive aggressive.

Where as our guy tenants were much cleaner and when they have a problem they either deal with it or just told us.

Anyone who looks for a room in Toronto knows most rooms are "Female only" Sad thing is most people actually associate gender with cleanliness. For example, I am a very tidy guy but when I tell a new landlord I am tidy they just don't believe it because I am a guy ... It is absolutely weired ...

Once I pulled up this female only thing on a facebook group and it was like a gang of chicks attacking and roasting me for that ... No one had the courage to have my back except a poor guy who just posted a single comment.

Anyways, just to give you an idea, this is the roommate listing of the City of Toronto with approximately 2k ads. Funny enough over 900 of ads is searchable for the term "female only" and only 400 male only (Probably those guys who fear of being sued for sexual harassment on a woman) . The rest which don't have the term also have the close ratio. You can just randomly contact people and see that they respond its for Females only ...

Today, I have to look for a freaking room once again and sadly I have to go through all these ads, all that reminded me what happened couple of months ago so I pulled up the conversation so you can see it. Basically a lady posted something funny and I also in a funny manner said "At least you are a female :)) 9 out of 10 of shared places are female only lol " And that some chicks started to heavily shit on me and not giving up.

Let me say that I am actually a Pansexual non-Caucasian immigrant and I am actually an advocate of equality (right, not feminism) funny even I am being treated like shit just imagine how some of these social justice worriers would treat a poor white dude! The girl on facebook actually told me Broski which is not the best work to describe someone ...

My argument is, okay, first of all why everyone thinks men are not as clean and good tenants as women. Second, isn't it concerning that some of these landlords can actually be creeps and only get women tenants! Third, how does this help our society to become modern, equal and friendlier for both masculine and feminine people!

It's an interesting argument, isn't it?

Technically speaking, if you live with a man, you are more likely to get assaulted or attacked, because men commit more crimes like that. The logic is absolutely sound.

However, it's also logical, in that case, to also write 'no blacks', because black people commit more crime, proportionally speaking, than white people, so if you live with a black person, you're more likely to get assaulted or attacked.

I wonder if this woman would be happy to have the same logic applied to race, as she applies to gender. Or whether she would suddenly shout 'no way, that's racist!'.

Another thought that I had is that, if we take it as correct that men are stronger and more physically dangerous than women, on average, that could work to your advantage, as well as your disadvantage, if you were a woman living with a man; this is because, if someone attacked you in your home (e.g. a burglary or something), the male you are living with would be able to defend you better than a woman could.

It's a shame we can't have discussions about this rationally without it turning into an unpleasant argument.

Anyway personally speaking I think it's unfair to judge someone based on their race, gender or sexuality, it's more important to meet the person and find out what they're like, than to look at what gender they are and instantly dismiss them based on that. But I understand women who are afraid of sharing with guys they don't know, I honestly do understand the logic.
