Traditional circumcision of boys of between 10 and 15 years among the Bukusu, Tachoni, Kabras and Banyala communities began on Wednesday.

So there goes that argument pro-cutters like to use that "FGM and male 'circumcision' are completely different because the latter is done on infants when they don't remember it, and the former is done on pubescent girls". And I also doubt that in places like this it's even done in sterile environments either

These are the kinds of things that also should be targeted when fighting international genital mutilation. But I guess that won't happen until the male genital mutilation that occurs within the US and other Western countries is outlawed

This is not the viewpoint of any major church I know of. It's some backwater group of pastors desperately to stem the epidemic of sexual diseases over there that results from all the promiscuous sex they keep having.
