Come on. At least put in the title that it is in India. I agree with the idea that flase rape accusations are a plague everywhere. But this spectacular increase might very well be specifuc to the indian culture/law system.

Aquital or dropping of charges is not a false accusation. They use simar logic in the article and kinda make a leap. I can believe the premise in general that false accusations are.going up or they are actually considering them more but this seems like skewed numbers similar to wage gap.

Easy way to solve fake dowry cases is to jail those who give dowry aka the parents. If taking and giving bribes is illegal, why is only taking dowry a crime? Why not giving?
