Adds and companies will always feature women and kids in adds like this where they ask for money or for the idea of making you feel bad for them because studies show more people react to help a woman and child in need than a man in need.
It's just pure day to day discrimination people don't realize happens to men. If a man gets hurt you either laugh or ignore it but if a woman does everyone is there within no time to help.

Firstly, it's not discrimination to highlight the minority group within an issue such as homelessness. It's likely just part of a campaign. It's the same way a medical charity would highlight one specific condition, it's not discriminating against the others its just giving information about that specific one. Secondly, the idea that people laugh when men get hurt is fucking stupid, because it isn't true. The fact you'd even say that is just distressing. Either way, this has nothing to do with this specific image.
This whole thing isn't a discrimination issue, you're just making it into one.

That's not really signifigant though, what I'm talking about is genuine suffering. People will still help guys in genuine need of help. And it is the same for women so don't say it isn't:

Why is it then that there are laws in the US and Canada that declare that Female Genital Mutilation illegal but it's just fine to mutilate the genitals of baby boys. I consider that suffering.

there are religious reasons behind circumsision which is why its a hard topic to handle, and tbh I don't agree with it myself, but why you're bringing it up here I have no idea. It has literally nothing to do with people laughing at men.
Also, the canadian thing is because the male side isn't needed, we can assume that the other percentage are male. Also, the campaign as seen by the tagline is obviously trying to express the fact that the homelessness problem is 'more diverse' than it was before which they are highlighting as an issue, so the figures are intended to shock. The stereotypical homeless person as they say is an older man. Giving information on that was likely not put in as it doesnt particularly help wha tthey're trying to say. It doesn't mean they don't care.
Look, I don't want to come across as mean, but all I was trying to say was that charities target specific areas of an issue to highlight them, not to discriminate against the other aspects. If you've ever worked with a charity you'd know this, all of them do it. Homeless men is obviously an issue, which the charity in this case does support, but that doesn't mean it is always the main focus in it's advertising.

You talked about suffering, I consider cutting genitals suffering. Girls are protected boys are not.
Why not say 72.3% men and 18.7% youth? How do you know what it "means"? It is solely your interpretation.
I can't find the article right now as it is from 10 to 15 years ago. But a program was launched in Ottawa to build housing units exclusively for women even though men comprised the majority of the homeless population by a good margin. That tells me that the safety and comfort of women is a much higher priority than that of men.

but anyway, if you're a rational human who thinks with their brain you can understand that the other 72.3% MUST be the male population, because that's obvious. My 'interpretation' isn't based on biased, it's based on what's fucking obvious.
