Far be it from me to claim 'oppression' ( but if the shoe fits... ), but jesus OP has some serious cognitive dissonance. Whether it's from societal conditioning or he's simply trying to appease a certain demographic is left up to the reader, but wow does it stick out like a sore thumb after explaining all the various ways he was excluded.

Oh please. No man alive today participated in any of that, so even if it was “oppressive” towards women, it is not the fault of the modern men, nor is it any man’s responsibility to correct it. Besides, these women never had to feel that. What the hell makes them think they deserve anything from the alleged suffering of our great mothers? To hell with that idea.

Something else of note is now that women are taking more traditionally male roles, they’re being given even more benefits from them that the men in the past were not. The increase in technology to better protect us against nature helped, but women even have it easier in a multitude of things. Even as a faggot, I’m not completely safe from some of the discrimination faced by the average man (better promotion of women’s health and girls’ education, etc.).

Men’s biggest mistake is underestimating women imo. Of course it’s only in our nature to do so, but that doesn’t make it right nor does it do us any favors when she isn’t ready to make the same sacrifice we are (or do something in exchange of about equal value).

I have and still am the stay at home, I went to baby groups with our daughter and was made to feel very unwelcome. If either child cries in public women would come up and butt in like I don't know how to look after a child. Some till tart at Tesco asked if I was baby sitting, I asked if she was steeling a mans job. Getting things like child benefit to be put in my name took five years of arguing with them, Sent off forms my wife had to fill in a form to transfer then kept getting letters asking if she was sure. Schools etc kept ringing my wife if daughter got ill even though we said I was the one who deals with it from day one. Then there are the overheard comments of where is mum etc. That being said most women outside her class room are friendly enough so its not all bad.

It just emphasises the the Feminist Eutopia claims of equality are bolocks. If it was all.equality there would be no such sexism.

You also would not see the US based phenomenon on Dad's Groups, male only parenting groups free of such sexism, control issues and mumsplaining.

And above all NOTE that this is only getting coverage due to the Biased Broadcasting Corp seeing it as a Queer issue, not a male or parent issue.

Mothers I've met have asked if I am somehow the "mummy" - assuming my role as the primary carer conforms to the traditional gender stereotype of a mother. I am "daddy" and my husband is "papa"

because I'm always annoyed by the idea that there's always a woman even in relationships with two men, and also by the idea that caring for a child is inherently a woman's or mother's role. But I don't get this

It's not men's fault when women are at least just as guilty of discriminating against and excluding fathers. Even in all the examples he gave, it was mothers and women perpetuating this prejudice. It takes some incredible gymnastics to make women being sexist against men into "patriarchy"

One of the hurdles in addressing men's issues is ideologues being so stuck on the "women are oppressed; men are privileged" narrative, that even areas where it's males being discriminated against--and in this case, mainly by females--they still have to somehow tie it back to "but everything's still all men's / patriarchy's fault, and women are still The Oppressed Ones"
