Senator Leyonhjelm said his comments came in reaction to what he claims is Senator Hanson-Young's "misandry", meaning an ingrained prejudice against men.
"This is about misandry. The prime minister should stop being such a pussy. This is about criticism of all men. It's just as bad as criticism of all women."
Finally a politician willing to take a stand against all of this nonsense.
Senator Leyonhjelm claimed that Senator Hanson-Young "thinks all men are responsible for violence against women."
"That's offensive to men", he said, and that prompted his remarks.
He said he "won't be apologising or withdrawing" his remarks unless certain conditions are met.
"I've nominated conditions under which I would apologise, they include an acknowledgement by Sarah Hanson-Young that not all men are responsible for crimes that are perpetrated by some violent people, that we are individually responsible for what we do, and that women should be entitled to carry measures for their own protection and self-defence," he said.

I think appropriate for a politician to be blunt at the moment. There is a disturbing level of misandry in today's world and it needs to be called out urgently, people shouldn't downplay it by worrying about what words they use. I am pleased this man is speaking up but more people should be like the mras in India, work and protest as a group not just as an online person. People don't want to address this publically usually more people should bring it up until it becomes clear.

Women and men have spoke against feminism. However not enough of them. Most people do not support feminism, its just the government and nutjobs for the most part. There is a lot of them, but there is as many against as for. Why do you think the media censors men's issues? No you're incorrect. There are female judges for example, who have defended the male being accused, despite the fact that she was pressured by the government to give him a harsh sentence. If every woman was feminist, then she wouldn't have done that.
I'm just going based on the fact that most people I have mentioned this to IRL, have either agreed with me or just not cared at all one way or another. Most people are too distracted by life to pay attention to these sort of things, but when asked directly you'll find that a large number of men and women see that feminism is ridiculous.

I have to agree with u/BetterOut.
I think David Leyonhjelm is doing a great job for menrights, standing at the front against hatred against men.

Her lack of qualifiers such as "some" men, is, I beloeve intnetional, and she enjoys making these blanket misandrist remarks. I think David Leyonhjelm's heart was in the right place when he made the shagging comments.
He just lacks the charisma and class to really use it against this foul woman. I guess he has his crude own style, and some people like that about him. But he could be so much stronger in my opinion.
