I just googled statistics of male rape survivors and PTSD. The top three results focus primarily or entirely on women. What a screwed up world we live in.

I'd just like to say that "rape survivor" is an asinine term.

My mother often calls herself a "cancer survivor" and , okay fine, I will give them that one. My mother described visting the same facilities regularly and interacting with other patients, but after a bit, less and less of the people she knew would go until none of them could be spotted. They were probably dead.

Anyway, "survivor" doesn't make sense for a crime that does not carry a fatality rate.

Women in the military are 300% more likely to be diagnosed with PTSD and 400% more likely to end their careers with a medical discharge then men. Even tho until recently they didn’t even fill direct combat roles.

Women are mentally & physically more susceptible to an illness it seems.

When it comes to mentally you have to wonder if it’s simply that their issues are taken more seriously by society in general.

Google offers what most people search. You have to be very patient to find what you need. Later it remember your preferences and it will get better. Thats the way algorithm works

Yeah, I've been trying to find the source papers that the ADAA's statements about PTSD in male victims being more common than in female victims are derived from and I've had no luck either.
