That sounds like a win-win to me.

Hopefully the feminists can be replaced with more sensible, less easily triggered, non-feminist editors and the company will be all the better for it.

The editors in chief of the Boston Review, Deborah Chasman and Joshua Cohen, wrote a public letter last Tuesday detailing their reasons for keeping Díaz on staff at the magazine, which focuses mainly on politics and literature. They said they did not believe that the accusations revealed a “larger pattern of abusing power.”

Additionally, they argued, “the objectionable conduct described in the public reports does not have the kind of severity that animated the #MeToo movement.”

OHHHHH, so if they believed - not "had proof" or "let the court decide," but if they BELIEVED - the accusations revealed a larger pattern of abusing power, then it would be ok to fire him? Sorry, that's called lynching: deciding someone is guilty and making them suffer even though you don't have the authority to decide their guilt.

And if “the objectionable conduct described in the public reports" DID "have the kind of severity that animated the #MeToo movement," THEN it would be ok to fire him? Because an unproven ACCUSATION was a more severe accusation?

Fuck these people. They should have kept him on staff because he is innocent until proven guilty. Diaz deserves better.
