But anyway, I found it more amusing that, as usual, feminists remove posts disagreeing with their view. At least we let you say what you want to say. Even if we think you are incorrect.

Despite your effort not to be one-sided, does this single claim of yours not set you up in opposition to all feminists?

Lorna Finlayson-Wheeler, philosopher and author of the Cambridge Introduction to Feminism, argues that the core principle behind all forms of feminism is a belief that we live in a Patriarchal society (i.e. if you do not believe that society is patriarchal, you basically cannot be a feminist).

It is literally not possible to believe that you live in a Patriarchy without also believing that there are strict gender roles, regardless of whether these are believed to be socially constructed or not.

And this does not just apply to Finlayson-Wheeler:

Jessica Valenti has a regular column in The Guardian called 'The week in patriarchy' and in a 2017 interview in Bustle (March 15), she says that:

“Misogyny and sexism are such huge parts of our lives that we absolutely can’t answer [the question'Who would you be if you did not live in a world that hates women?'], because sexism does shape so much of who we are.”

And goes on to say:

“I’m hopeful in that way, that we’re at a turning point. And I do think that Trump’s election, as horrible as it is and as much as it shows that misogyny is alive and well, I also sort of see it as the ultimate act of backlash against all the feminist progress that’s been happening. I think it’s the last dying gasp of patriarchy — fingers crossed.”

The 100th episode of The Guilty Feminist podcast hosted by Deborah Frances-White on 28 May this year, stated:

And the thing is how governments need to be doing more. Incels are funny, obviously, there's so many jokes in them. Incels are objectively funny. But there were four mass murders last year - at least four - by men self-identifying as Incels. This pushback from the Patriarchy is real and it has consequence and it's kind of getting worse. We need governments to legislate, we need governments to see what's happening, see the violent language that's used on Twitter and to look at the consequences of that in our society.

This is frankly bizarre in a number of ways - for a start, Incels appear to be equated as the terrorist wing of the Patriarchy which is as good as saying that all (straight) men are essentially Incels waiting to happen so in addition to the idea that all men are rapists, we now see that all men are Incels.

But more importantly - the solution that the government is going to be able to legislate patriarchy away seems frankly insane.

The main point though:

It seems hard to escape the conclusion that talk of Patriarchy by feminists such as these and others does nothing but entrench gender roles even more deeply.

Women make up the majority of voters. They have plenty of representation. The fact that the person they choose to represent them had a previous or a vagins is irrelevant.

That's like saying women don't have doctors because most doctors are male.

It's utterly ridiculous. Listen to discussions in election years. It's always talk about which group of women will vote which way.

Furthermore, how misogynistic is it to tell women they aren't represented by the people they choose to represent them?

Not at all, today men have very strict gender roles, and women have none at all.

"women NEED to be delicate/weak/depedent/emotional" = "men NEED to be harsh/strong/independent/emotionless"

Your math is off, women can do what they want, and for men it's more like 'men NEED to be harsh/strong/independent/emotionless' if they want a wife and children. Women don't want dependent men, they won't support a man unless forced to by the courts and they don't even want to support their own children financially, they believe that duty falls to the father. This situation is not imposed on men by society, but by women.

rape is more common among women

Since, legally men cannot be raped, and the police usually won't even take a male rape victim's report, and prison rape is not counted, it might seem that way, but the numbers are so badly cooked that no reasonable person would find them fit for purpose.

Look, I'm sure you mean well, but you should do some more research first, and also peruse materials not generated by the feminist movement, they are a tad bit biased.

I was sort of against this post until I read the last bit:

I think most people on this subreddit want true gender equality, but there are a lot of posts from people who view all/most women as completely evil, and I think that's what you were trying to address. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong about that assumption.

I'm not trying to make feminist propaganda, because I'm not a feminist in the first place. It's like you're trying to convince an atheist that God doesn't exist...

I even said I'm NOT against this group/subreddit.

But if you still don't agree with me on that: I understand, I don't think your perspective is unvalid/useless
