It seems that he had bits cut out of it.

But he claimed he would not have touched her "down below" as two weeks before the alleged incident he had undergone surgery to remove cancer from his penis - a very painful process that included a complete circumcision, which left him in intense pain and a desire to avoid contact in that area

"I definitely would not have touched anybody down below because I'm still having stitches taken out."

Mr Scott said he had had some lumps removed from his face, which his specialist had said were cancer, and late in 2016 he also had lumps removed from his penis, although he now accepted they were not cancer.

He said on the day the alleged indecent assault his penis was still feeling very sore to touch.

Kapiti Coast district councillor David Scott, 71, is accused of rubbing his genitals against a member of council staff during a morning tea in April last year.

He denies the charge.

The complainant said it was not a wallet or something else in Mr Scott's pocket which she felt as he passed by her at the morning tea.

She said what she felt touch her back was four or five inches long.

Earlier today, Judge Peter Hobbs allowed the defendant's doctor to examine him in private to establish the length of his penis and how it measured up against what the complainant said she felt.

The measurement has been suppressed.
