Only if I could pimp an activist cause for money, intentionally set up before they created the camp (because I knew they were going to do it) and sat idly by 3 feet away as they did it, while afterwards pimp said community for even more money.

This is not a catching something off the cuff, this is premeditated.

Just take a look at the dude and his blog. He's a grade A narcissist.

His articles are a color by numbers of how to pimp niche groups and people preying on their weaknesses.

This isn't hyperbole. Take a look for yourself.

I'm not coming to this decision lightly. I shilled this movie since I found out about it. I invited so many people to like their pages, shared stories on here countless times as well as on Facebook and Twitter.

I wanted this to be it. I wanted this to be THE documentary that blew it wide open and brought it to the light for the disgusting ritual it is.

But it's nothing more than pimping a cause.

How do you think journalism worked back then? And part of your critique is that they "set up an appointment" and "pimp an activist movement for money, and keep bilking" - if they only did those things and wrote about it would you be OK with that?

Like I said, logically, if you support exploiting a child to show it's wrong, you MUST LOGICALLY also support distributing child porn to show it's wrong.

If, and you keep forgetting this part, making and distributing child porn was legal and common, then your logic might apply. If they could have called the cops, or intervened physically without legal repercussions, then I would condemn them as well. But that's not the current situation. They couldn't stop it, but they could expose it - so they did what they could.

Great, lets make the analogy even better: slavery is legal in the current day, a slave auction is going to occur, and someone gets permission to film it - even interviewing the owners and slaves under good lighting and with a proper camera. They also work with abolitionists when releasing their documentary. Is that immoral?

Stabbing you in the face with a pencil isn't illegal either, there's not a law that says I can't stab someone in the face with a pencil, please locate.

If you find it necessary, give me a jurisdiction and I'll look up the relevant law for you. No, it won't use the word 'pencil', but it doesn't have to, and I think you knew that.

Exactly. You want to pretend that standard assault/battery statutes apply to circumcision, despite the well-established precedent that says that they don't. If you don't like the common-law system, move. If you want to change the statute or set a new precedent then advertising your ignorance of the legal system isn't a good place to start.

Of course, this is all a sad attempt to change the subject: regardless of your ... creative ... attempt to redefine how the legal system works, calling the police wouldn't have stopped the child from being circumcised, and an attempt but the filmmakers to intervene on his behalf would have only let to them getting arrested with a slight delay of the inevitable.

You can document proper anatomy, and show damage that presents itself in adults.

Which is a good place to start, but may not be as persuasive as showing a child in pain.
