So I matched to this cute girl on Tinder and I asked her out and we had a nice date, a couple of beers and it was really fun, we laughed and generally it went really well and she seemed to enjoy my company. I did not go into any details about relationships or love in general or what is she looking for at the moment or whatever.

I followed up with a text saying we should do it once again and she texts back after a day saying that yes, we can do it again but from her side it would be a friendship and hopes that I understand.

Obviously I understand, the girl is not interested romantically, nothing new and not a lot of questions there.

What baffles me is the reason. Should I have been more direct with my intentions or what? One possible reason that comes to my mind is that I am a foreigner in her country and she is on her own terrain. But I lived here for 6.5 years so it's not like I just came or whatever.

Also, I wouldn't mind going with her out again, maybe I could change her mind about me but I also doubt that as well. So I guess I should just thank her and move on?
