The even more interesting part is:

She was also given a concurrent two month suspended sentence for breaching a conditional discharge from a previous assault conviction.

[–]Pz5 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She is proven herself to be consistently violent yet the legal system shielded her from punishment

[–]polakfury 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

THE BITCH IS CRAZY AND THEY LET HER OFF THE HOOK LOL

[–]Mencite 21 points22 points23 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Horrible but maybe some guys need this to wake up as to how anti-men the system is.

I feel like anything that has to do with violence and divorce in America, if there are both man and a woman, the man 99.9% of the time gets a much worse punishment than the woman. Even if the woman did the worse, the man is still always treated like crap, and the woman always has to be the victim. The article says the woman was even crying...

[–]Mencite 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes but men are the first to agree with this. They're angry at the guy accused. Men themselves are the problem until we see this we never get anywhere.

This is exactly what feminist prison reform has done in the UK, men and women are now a separate class in the legal system.

I keep saying this, but seriously- if one group of people is allowed to severely assault another group of people with great leniency, then that group is not the group that is socially/legally oppressed!

[–]nateklly[S] 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Sentencing systems around the world should be radically reformed to start with the assumption that women should not be sent to prison for their crimes"

I don't even know if I can take this article seriously after reading this

Now you know that a scrotum is worth £300

Sell yours now! Buy a chair from pewdiepie!

[–]nateklly[S] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Haha I guess that ring wasn't worth it after all. I bet she forced the man to give her his ring so she could use it in her next marriage.

[–]BaconCatBug 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

BUT CAN YOU DO THIS?

[–]Akesgeroth 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Actual title:

Jealous woman sliced open her cross-dressing fiance's scrotum with diamond engagement ring when she caught him semi-naked on the phone chatting to a lover

what the fuck

[–]nateklly[S] 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If the situation was:

Jealous man sliced open his naked fiancé's breasts when he caught her on the phone with her secret lover

The man would be publicly shamed by the media and pretty much everyone, have the max sentence for assault, charged with sexually assault, and would then be a sex offender who couldn't get a job.

In this situation:

Jealous woman sliced open her naked fiancé's genitals when she caught him in the phone with his secret lover

The woman got little publicly, was congratulated by crazy feminists for being "courages", people said he deserved it, and she got charged with a measly assault that didn't get her anytime in jail.

Anyone see a problem here?

Mr Camp admitted being drunk at time and said he did not know what caused the eye-watering injury to his own crown jewels.

It's always funny when a man's dick is injured... Journalism rule #3

I thought the UK had hate crime legislation.

Shouldn't this be considered a hate crime?

She deliberately damaged the genitals of a cross-dresser.

A very symbolic attack, isn't it?

[–]nateklly[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

For sure haha

[–]stupidname91919 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Stop asking me to imagine things OP, I have no imagination.

[–]nateklly[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sorry :/

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is the 3rd post I’ve seen regarding wedding rings.

Christ.

[–]KMKEEPS 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

To judge this wretched womans actions, that is up to god. To send her there after doing this after the law fails, it's clearly up to me.

It's one of those things if someone did that to me I would kill someone as payback over.

[–]nateklly[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Haha I'd be careful with that, you might get some time behind bars!

[–]KMKEEPS 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Meh my dicks cut off 80% of my life is over anyways.

[–]nateklly[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yea I hate joke about suicide (hi Logan Paul), but I think I'd have to kill myself if my willy got cut off

[–]KMKEEPS 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's probably the next move as long as she goes with me.

[–]nateklly[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Haha

[–]marie-llama 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is horrible and she would have deserved to spend many years in jail. But when you "imagine the other way around", it bothers me because most rapists only get a few months prison time, just like the woman in the story.

[–]nateklly[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Would you possible mind sharing a source for, most rapists get only a few months?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This article was written by a man 🤦🏻‍♂️

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

I really don't get these "Imagine if...." posts; how does a woman being treated leniently affect mens' rights?

If men NEVER got suspended sentences and women always did, I'd see it was a very important problem; but anecdotal evidence like this doesn't really add anything.

e.g. Here's a case of a man convicted of domestic abuse being given a suspended sentence

And another, where the woman was stabbed

and one more where she suffered a broken cheekbone

It's much more interesting that, in the UK, there is a 267% higher chance that a male will be imprisoned for 'Violent Crimes against the Person' than a woman.. fixing that is something we can all get behind.

[+]Throwaway__shmoe1 points 8 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

It's the double standard.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

the double standard.

Sometimes men are given suspended sentences, so an example of a woman being given a suspended sentence doesn't prove there's a double standard.

[–]SafeContribution 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You obviously don't get rights whatsoever with a post like this and unfortunately the people who think like you are the reason we have the double-standard. To answer your own question...How does one group being treated "leniently," affect another group's rights? This is like asking how did whites getting preferential seating arrangements on public buses affect blacks? How did Germans receiving preferential treatment affect Jews? When you treat one group any differently than another group no matter to what extent, in essence you are treating all other groups differently as well. So, when you give one group preferential treatment you are discriminating against all other groups. Again it is unfortunate that most Americans do not see this, because it sounds "good," to give preferential treatment. It feels good to say "hey you deserve more money than the rest of us!..you deserve more rights than the rest of us!... you shouldn't be jailed like those evil men, because we have had the brunt end of the ordeal for generations, so now you should pay!"

[–]nateklly[S] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Finally, someone who disagrees, so now hopefully we can find some middle ground. I think that if this was to happen but if we swapped genders, the man would suffer much more harsher consequences than the woman would. Of course there are cases where the woman experiences harsher sentences, but in the vast majority of cases men are treated differently then woman when it comes to violence, and especially divorces (like who gets what).

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You actually bring up a great point, and it's a shame you're being downvoted.

We must all remember that all these cases are anecdotal. We must also be aware of confirmation and selection bias. In other words, we come here everyday and constantly see case after case of pussy-pass, of women raping children, etc. In another subreddit, I'm sure there'd be case after case of men beating their wives. Relevant.

It's good to maintain an accurate perspective.
