As long as they aren't so cheap that they LOOK cheap, it really doesn't matter at all. What matters is that they match the rest of the clothes you're wearing.

It only matters when a guy ignores little things like that and they look like a dipshit wearing middle aged dad shoes like all white new Balance or old people sandals, or something that doesn't match at all.

I'd say, don't get any shoes from a TJ Max or Ross. No knock offs. Stay away from the general popular shoes like Vans. It'll just make you look like a basic dude, especially at work.

Shoes can help you look more bold like boots, or casual dressy shoes, or colored sports shoes, if you can pull them off right.

yes shoes definitely matter, but it's like everything else: so many dudes are such complete fuckups that it's not very hard to be in the top 20%

if you dgaf about shoes there's no reason to buy $1000 shoes. but you also dont want to be one of those dudes walking around in an nasty old pair of sneakers.

Good shoes make your life better. Seriously, having the right fitting and looking shoes for the correct occasion makes a difference in my life. I am comfortable and I feel like I take care of myself and look good.

Also, many females know shoes and can determine if you're a sloppy man child or a suave adult just from your shoes.

You don't need to spend $1000 on a good pair but go to a decent shop and work with a sales person that knows what they are doing.

Also, remember to game any females clerks. I just bought a pair where this HB7 got the shoes I wanted to try on and actually knelt at my feet to help me try them on. I was outgoing, funny and forward and had her telling me intimate details about her life instantly. Every time I go back in there, her voice trembles and she can barely breath when I speak to her.

It depends on what you're wearing otherwise. If you're going to wear a suit, you want a pair of shoes to match. Nothing looks quite as ridiculous as a tuxedo with basketball shoes.

It won't break you if they are half decent, but I have noticed girls who I just meet immediately look at my shoes and then back at my face. Many times they say "I love those shoes where did you get them" (Yeezy's for example because I'm a hypebeast). Don't worry too much as long as your grandpa wouldn't wear them

Grab some dress shoes for special circumstances, and then buy whatever your job requires. "If you need steel toe or shatter shoes or cleated or whatever."

After those, get some comfortable fitted shoes. They'll be pricy, but they'll last longer and look better, and treat you much better.

My parents always said, don't be cheap on your feet, don't be cheap with what you eat. It's served me very well, I never skimp on diet or good footware.
