What if you were born the opposite Gender. What do think your life would be like and how would it be different.

I think people would be a lot more accepting of my mental illness and being unemployed. I might even have someone who was willing to support me.

I get annoyed when people say men should not be afraid to show their vulnerability. Well, as a vulnerable man, I don't agree.

Rather than be excluded in academia there would be meetings, clubs, organizations, and parties exclusively for my sex. All of the teachers would talk about how great I am for being born as I am, so tons of encouragement. I wouldn't have mutilated genitals. I'd probably either be married early and have a family or have so much sex I found the concept boring. Rather than have other men throw me under the bus, they'd help me to the point of fault. When I put effort into something it would pay off rather than have men sabotage me.

Not only that, but any long-term commitment would be secure for me knowing that I would be the one to break it up. Relationships would be more enjoyable, less stressful, and plentiful. I would know that when I had sex with someone I wouldn't have to risk having all the details leaked to everyone in our social circles. If we got married I would get to determine when and if pregnancy happened, and also divorce.

Lots more relationships, sex, encouragement, love, and the other things that make life worth living. But at least I won't have to stick around on this hellhole rock to take care of kids, so I have that going for me.

Based on my genetics and family history I would have been a skinny brunette in high school transitioning to a stacked brunette in college. I would have dated in high school and had an actual social life. In college I would have been pursued by men instead of doing the pursuing. I would have been the one doing the rejecting instead of the other way around.

I would have gotten a number of female specific engineering scholarships and been encouraged by most of my professors but had to deal with one or two sexist assholes who thought girls couldn't nerd. I would have been offered internships and been actively pursued by major companies. After graduation I would have had a job lined up instead of spending a month making cold calls.

In the work environment I would have received direct attention and mentoring from my peers and managers. My career would have been fast tracked. I would have been placed on high profile projects with high learning potential and given support to make sure I didn't fuck it up. Minor misstatements or callous comments would be ignored instead of reported to HR. If I mentioned sexism it would be taken seriously instead of laughed off. I would be continuously praised by my peers and encouraged to reach for new heights and given the opportunity to do so.

After marriage and at the births of my children I would have taken maternity leave and enjoyed the time off. I would use the time off to exercise every day and lose the baby weight. I would have acted as the primary caretaker and had a stronger relationship with my children. The house would be cleaner.

As primary caretaker my work schedule would not support overtime but would support more exercise time. I would stay fit and active.

On the weekends rather than doing yard work or overtime I would have spent more time with the kids and had more time for my hobbies. I like to cook, shoot guns, fiddle with things, get outside and play. I would have more time for all of this. I would have and maintain a spice garden.

My husband would enjoy delicious food, a clean home, well disciplined children, support and encouragement for his hobbies, a second paycheck and lots of wild sex. No starfish here.

I would feel more financially secure knowing my husband would do whatever it takes to pay the bills.

Well, certainly, if I were born female in this country I would have intact genitals. That seems like it would be nice.

Honestly, life would be very different if I were born the opposite gender.

I would have the option of marrying someone to take care of me, or getting a hiring/promotion preference at every job I've applied for.

I would likely not have joined the Marines, but I would also have had programs aimed at helping me succeed in the field I've chosen (tech).

I don't know that life is easier, but it would definitely be very different.

I’d likely have mutilated genitalia, would have had to register with the selective service, and the responsibility I have for my kid would have been mandatory whether I wanted her or not. As a woman I chose to take on the responsibility willingly and could have avoided the entire thing.

There are others of course, and a few disadvantages I’d have skipped by being male, but these are the outright discriminations that are propped up by the legal system. Overall I’d much rather be a woman.

Life is easier for women. They don't have to do anything when they date. Men does everything for them, including initiating relationships, etc. Also, most women don't contribute much to marriage. Instead, they get married, have children, get divorced, steal assets from husband, and force men to finance her for 18 years. So, yeah, I wish I was born a woman. Life would be much easier. Plus women get hired easier than men, because corporations are obsessed with meeting 50/50 quotas. Female privilege is endless. I hope all feminist who*es get cancer.

I would he living freely right now. See, the only bit of long-term resentment towards my mother frustrating hypocritical ignorance is the fact that she totally believes that girls deserve the choice to not get their ears pirecd when they're still babies, but cutting boys is perfectly fine due to culture, even though she always said " you wouldn't jump off a bridge just because all your friends did" when we were growing up.

I would be happy with my body 100% instead of becoming a man/woman/anime/thing.

But its better this way. If I was a girl I could just keep my head down and pretend to be normal. I'll never have the guts to speak up or put myself out there. So if I show people I'm different, if I leverage my situation into becoming something that's clearly the product of an evolved mindset, then I can suppress the resentment until I'm can solve the underlying problem.

Also if I stayed a girl instead of becoming an anime character, people would look at my writing and say that I'm a traditional conservative. This way no one will actually believe that.

I'd have intact genitals, I'd have a better singing voice, I'd probably be pushed to service positions instead of working on grill (I don't like dealing with people, so that'd actually be negative), I probably would have been taken on dates instead of dropping so much on my first girlfriend, my current girlfriend who's transitioning would be happier since she prefers women, I'd probably be looked down on less due to being a white male, etc.

I think I would have had more job opportunities. I'm actually really happy with my current job and I don't think I would have wanted to work for a big corporation, but lots of my female friends got interviews at Adobe and Intel and I know my GPA was higher and I had more extra curricular projects on my resume.

If you're a female engineer, you pretty much only have to be kind of average to get interviewed by big companies.
