I think the problem is that you're trying to keep these conversations going over a long while through text. That's not to say communication for a while over text is bad, but it can lead to bad habits such as investing too much of your own time into trying to impress a single woman and focusing too much on a virtual persona or trying too hard to be liked.

You don't have to keep an insanely fun conversation going on between text although it helps if she's visibly interested and responding back. From now on, utilize texting as a means to set up plans and tease her a bit if you're feeling flirty.

If you feel like you're boring, you probably are. Make some experiences and get some stories to tell, women love imagination.

PS you're not in middle school anymore but the real world. You're on the road to becoming a man and 90, if not 100% of your relationships should grow through physical means/contact not words over a screen.

Texting and other similar forms of communication are meant simply for logistics. If you really insist on it, restrict it to quick and short teasing/flirting.

You shouldn't really be committing yourself to texting as a means of gaming a girl. Convince the girl to meet up with you and get her to invest more of herself in you.

Also, you should never believe that there is one right method to doing something that gets all the girls. There is no guaranteed method to getting a girl, but there are steps you can take to improve your chances:

1) Become more physically attractive. Unless you're physically deformed, you still have room to improve (ie. working out).

2) Increase your status. Celebrities get a lot of attention. Musicians. Famous people. You don't have to be top dog, but if you are doing things like increasing your social circle, being more social, developing social proof, etc. then you are helping your own cause.

3) Increase your wealth. A study I read on TRP indicated that females are generally more attracted to wealthier people.

This is a case where less is more. Being interesting in a textual medium should be reserved for creative writing, poetry or letters to friends and family.

Communicating with females in POF or the like is at best small talk, at worst, gossip. I'm a firm believer that men should avoid gossip at all costs. It's effeminate and accomplishes nothing. If you are talking to girls on POF, you should be striving for face to face meetings.

If you spend too long writing back and forth, you are communicating two things: first, that you have no better prospects, and you are desperate to gain the approval of this particular girl; second, you are telling her that she may very well be able to extract further attention and validation from you without putting in any more effort.

You want to let her know that things need to move forward, or you will be moving on, immediately.

You should probably ask for a date within 2-3 messages. It usually works for me. Many times I even ask for the date on the first message.

Why are you texting?

If you are ever in a position or time when you can't speak to them over the phone, then don't interact at all. Give you and your potential mates some space - gives the relationship a little mystery, and let's their imagination wonder.

Be cryptic in your texts and if you can, call them, otherwise don't communicate at all.
