This is getting unreal. That is why I hate most movements, because they become tainted, and then become stupid with nonsense like this.
Pretty soon they ban men from everything, and then they find themselves sitting around a room full of women bitching to each other.
Then one of them will say "The men should be here because they are the ones that need to do the work to correct these issues."
“I’m sorry,” she said, her voice electric with anger, “but all I’ve heard tonight are a bunch of things women can do to fight sexism. Why is that our job? We didn’t build this system. This audience should be full of men.”
But remember they excluded men to begin with.
Then some pussifed men will show up and agree with what the women are saying, apologize on behalf of all men, and then beg the women to please tell them what they need to do in order to help. Are they happy about this? Fuck no! Men need to do everything!
One pervasive feature of the post-#MeToo landscape has been distraught men apologizing for their gender, fretting about old drunken hookups and begging for guidance on what they can do to help. (Of course it took only moments to transform a mass catharsis into an emotional labor factory.) O.K., fine. You know what you could do to help? Everything.
I say fuck it, men should just not show up.
This is not empowerment of women, this is making them into weak victims and just making excuses. It basically is the equivalent of a participation trophy.
