Can someone explain why the article is billing this as a feminist reboot? I get that it has women playing roles previously played by men but from everything i know about this community we strive to not conflate women with feminism. I watched the trailer and it looks like it will be a decent movie. I don't typically go see movies in theaters so saying it's not one I would pay to see doesn't carry much weight other then to say I didn't pay to see the others either.

Ultimately I can't see why this is on a men's rights page (there's hardly any men in the trailer to judge how they treat male characters). Let's just take a moment to separate personal bias of feminism from work done by women. This is more a Hollywood cash grab than a feminist experiment from what I can see.

If feminists claim that women are always innocent and blameless, then isn't this an anti-feminist movie? It's portraying that women can be just as bad as men.

Hollywood is running out of ideas to make money with, everything is recycled, remade, an adaptation, a series.

Doing female lead remakes of films with male leads is repackaging something that we already have and trying to sell it as something new. Thats called capitalism, or late stage capitalism where its running out of steam and crap to repackage, recycle and market, if you like.

While publications like that are distracting us with gender war garbage, they are promoting screwing you financially with far right economic policies.

Didn't they learn their lesson after the steaming shitpile of ghostbusters (it doesn't deserve the capital G).

Holy fuck, I hope they and the left implode soon and start truly devouring themselves so at least this country can get back to actual sanity and common sense.
