Don't call yourself ugly, for one thing. Change what you can, accept what you can't. I've recently realized irrational confidence is the best trait a man can have. Besides, why would a woman accept you if you can't accept yourself? You also have to question your motivations for becoming friends with this woman. Read a little about orbiters, make sure this isn't you, and proceed if you wish.

Why would anyone, let alone an HSMV woman, want to be your friend? Don't treat that as rhetorical. Find or make a reason, unless you think the smell of desperation on your breath and the look of frantic neediness in your eyes should be enticing enough.

She already has a dozen loser orbiters. If you didn't make the cut, you need to work on yourself.

Yep.
Friendships between men and women include exchanging of sexual validation, and only men they see as sexual can offer validation. If you don't pass that mark, you're not "friend" material.
You can manage to get her to admire you for something, you can exchange other favors and things, but she won't seek your presence nor address you as friend. You can be an orbiter, which is a guy that offers very little validation but lots of other stuff, and gets back very little validation back.
