My church, like a lot of other churches, rely on a volunteer/voluntold system to watch after children ages zero to six. If someone wants to help the church, volunteering with watching children is an easy way to do it. I registered with my church and this third party childcare background check thing (I have no idea what they look for) so I could help with the children. The thing is... I am not allowed to escort these kids to the bathroom, because I am a man. Even the boys, I cannot be the adult that walks them to the bathroom. They can only be walked to the bathroom by a woman. This really offends me. Tomorrow is church, and I do not want to volunteer at children’s again because of this. Do you agree with the church? Why? What would you suggest I do? Thanks.
