India executes only men since 1955. Woman hills 7 people (including children) and is sentenced to death. CNN blames patriarchy: "women who violate entrenched norms of gender behavior are more likely to receive the death penalty." If no woman has ever been executed, how do they conclude this?

don't.

the next thing they'll come up with is preventing any men from reaching a position of power, and they'll claim that it's not reverse sexism because equity, equality of result or something something.

This is a bad argument. Now feminists will say: "Well if THE POWER is the problem and men still hold most positions of power, then obviously women are hit harder by THE POWER, and therefore oppression, patriarchy, privilege, rape culture, reeeeeee!!!"

Bad argument. Let's not go this way.

What happened in Hollywood is corruption, a corrupt system exploited by both genders.

I agree with the premise, but this could have been stated so much more effectively. Roping in the 'middle of the country' argument turned a relatively defensible statement into regional carping.

All the people affected by Hollywood predators all sing the same tune, which is that these people have money and influence, and the combination of those two things means they have leverage they wouldn't have in other industries, leverage enough that they can literally make or break careers. If you want celebrity, you put up with their shit. That kind of concentration of power is going to attract these kinds of people, and even likely builds, trains and cultivates them, so it's definitely time to have these kinds of conversations.

And why? Because women in power are no more immune to this kind of thing than men are, provably. When female prison guards assault their charges even more than male prison guards do, and we see an epidemic of female teachers sexually assaulting children in their care at school, it's clear this isn't a gender issue. Give people the power, and a percentage will abuse it, male or female.

Excellent point on female teachers' conduct. It happens constantly, and it's really just because women are a higher percent of people holding that position of power.

Men will always hold most positions of power. Simply because they work more and are more career focused than women, and there are more male geniuses than female. Even in female dominated professions, males come out on top.

In every industry a few extra-intelligent extra-motivated men will come out on top. Biology.

So, feminists will forever be able to bitch that because of power imbalance women will always be dominated and taken advantage by men holding power, and therefore patriarchy.

Well, there is truth to this, considering I was forced to put out by a TA in college to get an A (don't call it assault because I was well aware I could say no and chose to get laid, get an A, and close my eyes); and have been propositioned by female superior co-workers...So yes...People in power abuse it--regardless of their sex/gender.
