Meanwhile, when men point out that false rape accusations have disastrous consequences for the falsely accused, that fathers are being alienated from their children by the state at the behest of women, that alimony is inherently unjust towards the payer (usually a man), and that boys are being harmed by educational and social services organizations that treat them like defective females, feminists, rather than acknowledge our legitimate grievances, tell us that we are "privileged" and need to shut the fuck up.

We must listen to them, but they don't have to listen to us. Got it.

Why would we want to abolish masculinity? Why wouldn't we want to abolish femininity? Based on what the feminists say and the metrics they use, shouldn't everyone be masculine since it';s a social construct anyway and has nothing to do with biology? If men had all the good things in life money, power, prestige, leadership, etc., it would make more sense that everyone should be masculine.

Masculinity is not "born out of the era of colonialism and intertwined with other systems of oppression such as notions of capitalism" but something that is based on mostly innate hormone levels and physical and brain structures, and interactions with women which repeat themselves through cultures and ages essentially the same way.

Do we need to abolish feminism, would be a far better question. But that question could never be asked in a public forum like that. Why? Because men have created a civilization that protects women too much, and feminists know it.

Don't they realize that the era of colonialism meant oppression for most men, bypassed others, and benefited directly just a small (male and female) elite. And capitalism brought them the wealthy society that enables them, not people in poor countries, to spread their hate. It is also one of the reasons why you, in particular, have the right and freedom to do so.

These events, to correct and improve men, were popular a few years ago. After the election nobody gives a damn about this crap anymore. The world has moved on, and this whole "men and masculinities" discourse just sounds quaint and passé today, like early Bush albums.
