Banned from /r/feminism for saying women can lie about rape

I'm sorry to have to do this, but I have to remove this post. Under our rules, posts like this are banned, and there is a good reason for that.

The reason is that every time someone puts up a post about being banned from a feminist subreddit, some of our members go over there and make trouble. Then they get shadowbanned - example - and the admins get mad at our subreddit.

We don't want any of that. So posts about being banned from /r/feminism or any other subreddit are against our rules.

You might, however, find that /r/SRSsucks would welcome such a post, since their members know better than to go on a jihad against another subreddit.

You know, attacking people is not the way to worm into 2X. Instead you should've posted stories like the mattress girl or the rolling stone liar (raped among glass shards in a frat house, zero scratches LOL), etc.

If you'd done that, they'd squirm and say "well, they weren't really lying, they were drawing attention to the rape epidemic". And then you can say "if they did draw attention, it was by lying about being attacked personally, that's what a lie is". Maybe also link them to the dictionary.com definition of lie.

Instead you just called them names and cussed at them, which ends up making you a bigger target.

I know it feels good. We've all done that with dumb commenters. But you can't give them any reason to dismiss your argument, because they're so stupid and so entrenched in dogma any reason will be reason enough to ignore you and think you're a diseased mind.

That's why I've moved away from outright attacks and hostile responses from age of consent/pedophilia conversations and Im doing the 'question and answer' with evidence lately. It was fun to be controversial for a while, but to really have effective arguments that could change people's understanding of the issue (if not their stance on it), it helps to have numerous arguments and simply ask someone why they believe something is true, and then crush that belief under the weight of concepts or claims that come from trustworthy sources.
