This title is misleading though. I don't think being as specific as Murray seems to want is necessary, but it's not a big deal for him to point it out. People do pay less attention to women's tennis since the William's sisters have become less consistent (side note go Venus keep on stomping those kids)

In the context of speaking to a male player about what he does, it is obvious he is talking about male tennis. What is Murray gonna say about the women's game? Why would they be talking to him about his game in reference to women's achievements? If he was talking to Serena, I'd not expect her to reference the men's game. There was nothing sexist about what the reporter said.

Murry cleared the ambiguity, that's all. People are acting like he checked every single persons privilege, and then castrated them.

Seeing as his mother is calling him "my boy" isn't that sexist in itself? If it's against the rules to refer to women as "girls" then the same applies here surely?
