This post glorifies female sexual abuse in deceiving it in such terms. Shocking.

This post glorifies female sexual abuse in deceiving it in such terms.

Show us where the sexual abuse happened.

[–]Rethgil 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Excuse my typo thanks to rubbish auto complete. (Describing-not deceiving).

Sexual abuse happened according to laws regarding teacher and pupil age due to positions of power.

Happy?

[–]CurtisAxelmania 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She also described the teen as having a “braggadocious nature” and a “propensity to lie.”

I imagine a male judge speaking of a teen girl who had a threesome with two male teachers in this manner would not be villified in the media with mass petitons asking for his resignation.

[–]thedickofharambe 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

For the sake of the argument let's say the kid did want this and it was consensual on his part. The main thing that bothers me is how this would have ended totally different if you reversed the genders. If it was 2 male teachers and a 16 year old girl in the same consensual relationship. They wouldn't argue that it was consensual because she's under the legal age to give consent. However, they argue that this boy did give consent and therefore it was ok even though he legally can't consent.

"The laws are meant to protect children, not almost 17 year old males" (paraphrasing) Well the age of majority, or the age when we are not considered minors, is 18 throughout most of the world.

[–]KR_Blade 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

thats really the thing that pisses me off, most women can get away with sleeping with a boy under 18, and they can get a slap on the wrist, but if a guy sleeps with a girl who's under 18 by any means, even if she is so much as 1 hour away from turning 18, then bam, your regarded as a child molester for life and will get 30-40 years in prison.

its a huge double standard that needs to be fixed, laws need to be equal for both genders, the harsh punishment you give to a male child molester needs to be given to a female one as well.

I don't see this as a problem. The evidence was presented, and was found to be unsubstantial, inconclusive or inadequate. It's not like she was found guilty and given a 50 fine. Men too get away with rape allegations when they in fact vomited a crime. I highly doubt she will be walking around with her head up high or working with children any time soon

Can we not leave this guy alone?

He wanted what happened, he enjoyed what happened, he was not harmed by what happened, and then he bragged about it to his friends.

Now it's all in the news and the courts. It's not as if people don't know who he is... he was telling (and showing) everyone.

This case should never have gone to trial, regardless of the genders involved.

[–]Rethgil 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

No surprise to see 'rg57' lurking and trolling against MRA again. Only ever posts in this sub to excuse female abusers.

LITERALLY.

Always posting to claim male BOYS WANTED the abuse and were complicit.

Sick scum. Reported too.

[–]CurtisAxelmania 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Although some testified the boy bragged about it, I haven't yet seen a statement saying the boy admitted to bragging about I in court.

In other words, the two 15 year olds are both sick perverts raping a child (mutually).

Furthermore, let us presume he'd been 16 in a state where its 18. He's still a heavily traumatized rape victim, because he's below the age of consent. But if a PEER of his, living in a state where the age of consent is 16, had this sex adventure with a 28 year old woman who was a stranger, he'd be no longer a victim at all.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

so if a 16 year old female student really wanted to bang her high school teacher then thats fine too in your opinion?

[–]mwobuddy 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Why not? You're trying to make people irrational by using the "but girls are so precious innocent flowers and we must protect them" argument. Reeks of sexism, by way of implicit appeal to emotion argument.

Furthermore, girls mature, physically and mentally, faster than boys. they actually can finish the process 10 years sooner than a male, neurologically speaking. Girls' brains, and thus their capacity for 'informed decisions' actually happens sooner than boys.

Know how I know this? because feminists have been pushing the idea that girls have superior emotional intelligence to boys (where you can read, intuit, other people's behaviors, intentions, feelings, etc), and girl's brains develop sooner than boys.

But we're still led to believe that an underage male is less of a victim than an underage female.

And here you are playing that sexist card, when it suits you, perfectly in-step to the tune of feminist dogma of "girls are special and need protection but are equls", while perfectly out-of-tune to the feminist dogma of "girls mature sooner than boys".

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

i think you misinterpreted my comment. im saying that it should be treated equally regardless of gender, so if the person i replied to says this is okay that way i just questioned how they would feel if it were reversed genders. i think either way is not okay. im definitely not for modern feminism.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's my point. You're trying to use a person's natural protective instinct of females to make them irrational.

[–]CurtisAxelmania 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I would be fine with this, so long as she drops the course or has to retake it with a different teacher. This should be done prior to fucking.

If both parties do not mutually disclose it ahead of time, I would consider it a conflict of interest and kick both out if school.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

true that. the legal age of consent seems kind of arbitrary, but the conflict of interest is undeniably there. its a tough moral dilemma where exactly to draw the line on age of consent, where this falls is grey area imo.

[–]CurtisAxelmania 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It will always be grey because doing it based in age is physical discrimination like excluding based in gender or race or mobility.

We should measure mental maturity directly and give licenses to those who pass. Any sex without both having licenses is illegal. Neither will be punished unless it can be proven they consented, in which case they must be punished for consenting to an illegal act.

[–]CurtisAxelmania 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Can you show me evidence he bragged?

What did the texts say?

[–]westnile-x 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

I gotta agree with you, it was the kids parents who sued the teacher(s) after everything happened. And it had been going on for a long time. I know when I was 15, I was hornier than a mofo which led to a ton of underage sex so its no surprise that this dude was like "Fuck yeah, I'll fuck our English teacher and then brag about it to everybody then everybody will know just what kind of stud I am!" By the law it is statutory, but this case got muddled down by a lot of issues, including not having sufficient evidence. The boy himself however was most definitely not traumatized, abused, or even coerced into the situation. He was thinking with his wiener.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

you don't get it. If two 15 year olds want to fuck in every position all over their parent's house, that's one thing. It's 'equal power dynamic abuse', so its fair. I call it abuse because it IS, in fact, an age of consent violation, and so that automatically means someone (or both) are being sexually abused/molested/raped.

In the same way, it is automatically sexual abuse/molestation/rape when someone 18 or older violates age of consent law.

In other words, the two 15 year olds are both sick perverts raping a child (mutually).

That is the logical extension of age of consent laws.

The basis for why people are claiming this as rape is the same as what feminism has been perpetuating for the last 20-30 years as "power dynamic oppression".

They're speaking with feminist terms unironically in condemnation of this act, and of the woman involved, because anyone who crosses that magic red age line is automatically a rapist.

[–]westnile-x 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I do get it. That's why I said it's statutory. As in statutory rape. What I don't agree with is that he was traumatized.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I feel like you glossed over the entire point.

[–]westnile-x 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Nope you're saying that because he was below the age of consent, what happened was statutory rape, which I agree with. Also a teacher having sex with a student is a huge ethics violation which should result in that teacher never teaching again. She should be punished to the full extent of the law in her state. However because there was insufficient evidence, the charges got dropped. Not because she is a woman. To say he was traumatized is incorrect because based on his behavior following the many events after the first he was not shocked following what to some could be called an "emotionally disturbing event."

Seriously I agree that it was rape, but I disagree that he was traumatized, the kid did legit want to have sex with his teacher.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Seriously I agree that it was rape, but I disagree that he was traumatized, the kid did legit want to have sex with his teacher.

Error: does not compute.

So you're suggesting that people can be victims of rape and not be traumatized?

[–]westnile-x 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Stautory rape not I'm-gonna-fuck-you-whether-or-not-you-want-to rape. There was consent on both sides, although by age of consent laws he could not legally give consent because he was underage. The difference being that they both wanted to and nobody was being forced against their will.

[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

This implies a victim. Is there a victim between two 15 year olds?

Is there a victim between a 16 year old and a 40 year old in Nevada or UK? Is there a victim between a 16 year old and 40 year old in Florida?

Age of consent is 16 in the first two, 18 and the latter. Does that automatically mean someone did wrong?

[–]westnile-x 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

We're not talking about whether or not he was a victim. We're talking about whether or not he was traumatized.

Edit: misspelling

[–]CurtisAxelmania 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is possibly to.not be traumatized by any crime. Probabilities vary though. Being aware a crime happened being one factor.

Like if someone steals your trophy but you didn't notice it was gone, or someone tongued your ass during your sleep but you never knew, it isn't traumatic.

[–]CurtisAxelmania 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I call it abuse because it IS, in fact, an age of consent violation, and so that automatically means someone (or both) are being sexually abused/molested/raped

I don't agree with the idea that legal classification should trump logical philosophy in our parlance.

Corporations having legal personhood wouldn't necessitate we converse about them as.actual people for example.

[–]Consilio_et_Animis 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He's only trying to justify his own kiddy-fiddling with little boys I would imagine.

[–]mwobuddy -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

At least there's some sanity.
