Are most MRAs Atheists?

Well, feminism is a religion. They center their beliefs around this invisible all-powerful force called patriarchy that controls everyones life since time immemorial. And even the organizational structure and funding and rhetoric is very religion-like. Also look at how feminists are very reluctant to actually confront religion in society, even though pretty much all the few issues women still face are religiously motivated and Church structures are pretty much the only place where you could actually talk about a patriarchy. You still see more feminists picketing a union that doesn't write special treatment for them into their statutes than a church that actively organizes the shutdown of planned parenthoods.

As for why there are relatively many atheists among MRAs: atheists tend to be more able to see the world for what it is and are finely attuned to the propaganda and messaging and influencing of society that powerful organizations with faith based agendas do.
Feminism is just one more of them, and what is especially concerning, the separation of church and state is not even thought of for them, quite the opposite.

It would be faulty to consider the two stances directly related. Sure, there's a lot of cross overs between the differing pressures ( MRA and atheism ), but just as likely there are a lot of independent factors.

I'd say this is a case of correlation not causation.

If you're an MRA and on Reddit you're likely to be a younger man living in a developed country. Developed countries tend to be more secularized and in turn people in more developed countries tend to be less religious especially if they grew up in their already secularized societies.

I'd also presume that people who are MRAs or understand/agree with the arguments are more likely to ignore the narrative and look at actual data/search for deeper truths and such a person would be more likely to become an agnostic/atheist than a theist and more likely to become an MRA than a feminist/normie.

Just curious, but what evidence do you have that MRA's are disproportionally Atheists?

I'm not saying your wrong, just curious.

If what your saying is true, I'd say in the case of MRAs it's a skeptism that joins it to Athiesm, especially of authority figures and "received wisdom".

In feminism I think it's a combination of seeing mainstream religion as a tool of the Patrachiary, and as such rejecting it.

Also it can be hard maintaining a a second religion along side feminism, it's a rather demanding faith.

And no I'm not an Atheist, I'm a neopagan transhumanist, although I do watch a lot of Atheists and Agnostics honestly.

I believe in Gods and Goddesses, but in my own strange way, when I was in high school I proved their existence by throwing out the Juduochristian definition of God/Godhood, and instead used the most universal trait across religions. Worshippers. God is a title.

The question isn't weather God (or Gods/Goddesses) exists, it's what is the nature of the beings who claim the title of God. Are they simply ideas, figurements of the imagination, historical persons who used power to immortalized themselves as Gods in people minds, are they archetypes, are they physical beings, spiritual beings, beings of pure consciousness, psychic constructs, weirder stuff, now that is the question.

Now I could be wrong, but I'm willing to risk it.

Also I believe that information and imagination are the fundlemental essence of the universe.

I also have spiritual continguency beliefs, admitted partly as intellectual exercises more then anything practical.

I doubt it. It's likely more so than the general population, because the internet skews less religious and MRAs barely exist offline.

Anyway I think MRAs may skew atheist because they skew young, and religion is falling out of favor in young people.

IMHO there are two types of Atheists, those who came to the position through reason and logic, and those who joined the fad but still need an ideology to guide them.
