I happened to notice some drama around inauguration about Barack walking around to open car door for Michelle but Donald not doing so for Melania.

It struck my as hypocritical. The type of people lapping this up are mostly Hilary supporters yet if she had won we would not be seeing any criticism if she neglected to go and open Bill's door for him.
Had she done so it would be criticized as servile and submissive and un-femi ist, probably.
Had Donald actually gone to open the door for Melania I get the feeling he would be accused of infantilizing her, not letting her be empowered by opening her own doors, and no comparisons to Obama.being volunteered except as a rebuttal by critics if the rhetoric.
All the kerfuffle in this election comolaining of a glass ceiling and accusing Trump of sexism, but then the same critics want a president who opens doors for ladies, and think there is something wrong about a woman opening a car door herself instead of waiting for her husband to come get her like Michelle did?
