Let them figure it out. Let them be allies. Or better yet, turncoats.

I'm presuming it's a woman writing this, it's pretty funny, just like every fucking one of these man-haters we've seen, even the ones coming on here, they start out trying to 'sound' reasonable and open-minded but they immediately become hostile the moment they're faced with opinions they don't like.

Then there's this whole fucking thing they do where like that bitch who came along recently talking about how much she cared about equal rights and men then immediately ranted about 'toxic masculinity'. It's not just MRAs that feminists need to convince they actually care about other people, it's everybody, so long as they continually keep demonise men for how they were fucking born they will be stopped at every turn and I almost certainly will be responsible for helping make that happen.

This writer is just another one of those fucking man-haters trying to act like she's a reasonable human being and then failing miserably on the first line, watching these fanatics trying to compromise now they've realised they're losing is a fucking joke.

Yep. And let's see... Manspeading Mansplaining Toxic Masculinity The patriarchy Male Tears ( & 'drown in') (Hashtag) Killallmen

Yep, can't see why anyone would think that's a man-hating movement.

Try going over to feminist subreddits. If you say anything that they disagree with, they will censor it and ban you. Their definition of a useful dialogue is when they talk and you listen. Does Men's Rights censor or ban Feminist? I'm asking I'm not sure. Yesterday I got censored then banned at AskFeminist for merely asking if they would censor and ban me.

Does Men's Rights censor or ban Feminist?

Not for being feminist. The odd one or two gets the boot, but from what I've seen it's not because they're feminists, it's because they're assholes.

[–]NibblyPig 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No. They are tolerant of all views with regards to banning, and although sometimes there can be a few downvotes for disagreeing with certain topics it's never been bad enough to make me think I'm in a hugbox. It tends to be incorporated into the dialogue.

I'm banned from a few feminist subreddits despite never posting in them.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Haha this.

They even started a mens subreddit (trying to counter MRM by pretending to care about mens issues) where most comments start with "as a woman"...mostly because they ban men.

But also because feminists have a huge disconnect from actual people. They spend their lives in echo chamber and the moment they hear a true unfiltered opinion they lose it.

The joke is even when suicides, violence and sexism against men was required it was always succeeded by a blame on men and how terribly it affects women. Just like how "women are the primary victims of war"

A friend of mine (username: GaffyMcguckin, go read his submissions) and me, attempted a little experiment yesterday. First he was banned at purple pill debate for posting irrefutable info. He is already banned at all the other feminist subreddits. He asked me to go to a few feminist subreddits to find out if I would get censored or banned for merely asking whether I would get cesored or banned. At AskFeminist, I got censored and banned. At 2x my post asking whether they would remove my post was deleted. So feminist have no interest in a discussion. They merely want to spout propaganda.

Toysoldier: No, feminist men can’t have a useful dialogue with men’s rights activists

[Feminist men] tend to take feminist ideals and theories more seriously than feminist women, often out of a need to prove they are not faking their support. The result is that they are less likely than their female counterparts to accept any non-feminist perspectives, especially any men’s rights position.

the view that the dialogue [The Red Pill] opens up is a useful one is hard to defend

Based on that comment, I'm gonna go ahead and say "no"

But it would have been "no" anyway. Just as there is no dialog with someone who believes in whatever religion, there can be no dialog with someone who has accepted a movement that defines ALL men as privileged, that names equality "for women".

The only useful 2-person dialog is for people who have kept their label, but have already left, and are seeking permission, in effect, to go public. They're looking for that fact, or that event, something they can answer with as to why they left the great idea of feminism.

Of course, that doesn't negate dialog for an audience. There are always observers who have not made up their mind. That's who the dialog is really for.

[–]JebberJabber 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

"Feminism defines all men as privileged" is widely misunderstood. It doesn't mean all men are privileged overall. Class, race, education, genetics etc usually overwhelm any gender privilege.
All it claims is that a men generally are in a better position than they would be if nothing changed except their gender. Which is arguable, but that is the claim. Same goes for race.

[–]EricAllonde 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Class, race, education, genetics etc usually overwhelm any gender privilege.

So gender ranks at least 5th on the list of contributing factors, perhaps even lower if we were to do an exhaustive review.

Kinda makes you wonder why feminists focus so much time and effort on male privilege when it's relatively unimportant in the scheme of things. If I didn't know better I'd suspect their priorities were skewed by their hatred of men.

[–]JebberJabber 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Genetics can't be changed. Other things are more the responsibility of individuals and families. Gender relations are something which has proved to be changeable.

I agree the energy that gets put into some feminist issues would get a much better return if used elsewhere.

Hatred of men is not the point of feminism, it is hatred of a system which feminists see as unfairly constraining women.

[–]EricAllonde 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hatred of men is not the point of feminism, it is hatred of a system which feminists see as unfairly constraining women.

Yes, that's why feminists gloat about "male tears", use the hashtags #masculinitysofragile and #killallmen, leap to attack any man concerned about men's issues as a "whiny crybaby" or "loser who's never seen a woman naked" and so on.

They say those things solely because they're frustrated by the system. Right...

And that's even before we get to the issue of feminist entitlement; the fact that the system they're complaining about already advantages and privileges them over men. Their complaints are nothing more than tantrums about having to make some effort to achieve their goals and take some personal responsibility for their actions, even though their need for both is reduced compared to what's required from men.

[–]SRSLovesGawker 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Enh... it's really hard to see how feminist men can do much of anything useful. Yes, I know that seems like merely knee-jerk demagoguery, but I actually do think it's true from an entirely pragmatic perspective.

Feminist men are routinely ignored, marginalized or otherwise considered inferior and subordinate to their own self-identified group. It's hard to see how even the most earnest of their lot could achieve any sort of cachet with their own "side" when their side barely tolerates their presence.

That entire article is tone policing groupthink. No thanks, Ashley.

[–]NibblyPig 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In my experience nobody at all can have a useful dialogue about anything related to men's rights, because feelings and anecdotal evidence are all that is required to validate your proof 100% and anyone speaking against it is invalidating a person's feelings which is such asshole behaviour as to be basically be a crime.

I don't know, can the KKK and the average black man get along? Probably not.

P.S

For the obtuse, the feminists are the Klan and we are the black dudes.

That one black comedian from MTV did a show talking to clansmen. It was actually kind of interesting to watch.

Can femenist men open up a useful* diogue with men's rights activists?

*To women

[–]DavidByron2 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No.

[–]InBaggingArea 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes. If they want to. But why would the strong seek terms with the weak?
