Because all the big cities in Canada are filled to the brim of their starbucks drinking, tight pants wearing, Marxist hipsters douchebags/feminazis. It is due to the country being incredibly liberal in all it's policies and having the The Cuck Who Must Not Be Named as our leader.

If you think feminists in the US are bad, other English-speaking countries are actually worse. At least in the US there are constitutional rights that cannot be infringed. For example, in Canada or New Zealand, all it would take to remove the presumption of innocence from men accused of rape is a simple act of Parliament.

Because feminism is so much more aggressive and successful in Canada, the men's rights movement has also become stronger in response.

Others have correctly noted that Canada has long been the most feminist-ed English (mostly) speaking country. Also, we're right next to the USA, so we can get noticed, like a Bieber or a Dion.

But I would also suggest that Canada, being a very low population density country, very regional, has seen a large variety of federal parties. There's the Liberals. And the NDP (a merger of two others way back). And several iterations of the Conservatives. The Bloc. The Greens. All these happened even with the first-past-the-post system which makes it very difficult for new parties to emerge.

Canadians are overflowing with new and contrary ideas. The US 2-party system stifles new ideas. Until Trump took over a party...

I don't think there are a disproportionately high number of Canadians involved in the backlash against feminism and the growing anti-SJW skeptic movement. It may be that more Canadian commentators are focused specifically on advocating for men's issues rather than on a broader scope of criticism of New Left ideas, but that's as far as the Canadian exception goes.

There are a number of Brits and Americans and others who focus their time and effort on men's issues: the AVFM guys, Christina Hoff Somers, Erin Pizzey, Mike Buchanan and a lot more, but there's something bigger going on, especially in the US.

In the United States, and now increasingly in Britain and across Europe, there is a rising tide of resistance to and backlash against PC culture and the stranglehold the SJW's, including feminists, have achieved over the media and politics. A lot of the most prominent critics of feminism and anti-male bias in these societies, people like Milo and Dave Rubin and Steven Crowder, YouTubers like Sargon and others, mesh their commentary on the issues affecting men in these societies into a broader framework of criticism of regressive ideas and the effect they've had on society. The difference is that they're not specifically focused on men's issues, and couldn't really be called MRAs, whereas for a lot of the Canadian commentators you're thinking about, gender issues and men's issues are their primary focus.

This is changing rapidly in Canada, however. Anyone watching the Jordan Peterson debacle can see just how much broader in scope the backlash is becoming up here, and how much momentum it's gathering.
