Does this mean the film doesn't address the "patriarchy hurts men too" bullshit? I would be surprised if that's true. Karen Straughan did a brilliant job in her lecture on "toxic femininity" of dispelling the myth that feminists have any interest in challenging fundamental gender roles (female hypoagency, female as moral superior, damsel in distress, male as provider and protecter, male as disposable utility, male as threat etc. Rather it's simply a hate movement that seeks to demonize men and give ever more privileges to women -- to the detriment of both sexes).

I would love for Karen to take on some of these negative reviews (after more are in) in a video and send the link to these "journalists". It is clear that they are reviewing the film through a distorted feminist lens.

Good. Now more people know this movie exists.

The article is classic handwaving (Oh, yes, men have problem, but no fuck given) and calls to unity, Borg-style.

One sentence stands out:

and a cathartic viewing of “Mad Max: Fury Road”

Good movie. I really liked how the female utopia was empty and barren because not a single woman had bothered showing up after the few founders.

Not even sarcastic here, Miller cleverly illustrates how yang alone burns itself out in time, but yin alone is barren and sterile from the start.

What the film does illustrate is how the gendered culture war has devolved into an ugly schoolyard scrap, when goals could be aligned to work for greater equality for all

... and Feminists are the reason for that. Feminists refuse to even communicate at all, are completely shut down, spit on men and men's rights issues, laugh at male suicide, 'laugh' at male tears as the meme says, maliciously attempt to destroy men who advocate for their own legal rights any way they can; no low is too low to stoop to.

Laugh and mock work related fatalities that are 95% male doing all of the necessary jobs women refuse to do, advocate for laws and court procedures that enable women to make false accusations of rape and guarantee men will be convicted, act as if they are above reproach, will instantly BAN anyone who disagrees with Feminist rhetoric AT ALL from any feminist or female ran site or people will be banned from most mainstream sites such as Twitter for even being critical of women at all, to insure feminists and most women stay in an echo chamber and keep most women ignorant, pro-actively push for legislation to strip men of even more of their legal rights- the college false rape accusations and instant expulsion without due process is only one countless examples.

It's CLEAR and OBVIOUS that Feminism is 100% pure HATE, pure evil and malicious, 100% intentional FRAUD to gain funding from the government and sees men as the enemy and has a 'seek and destroy' operating system. You can't REASON with people like that at ALL. There is nothing positive or legitimate about feminism today. Feminism is an all out WAR against men and has been for decades and has been succeeding. Ya think that just maybe it's time men woke up to this fact instead of stupidly believing they can reason with someone who laughs at male suicide and would love to see them dead or in prison?

This writer trivializes what is more accurately a holocaust for men, society and children as well, know as 50 years of feminism as a 'schoolyard scrap' and needs to immediately recognize the source of all of the problem: Feminism. Men's Rights is nothing more than what the title says, fighting for the rights of men.

The femiloons fought like crazy to prevent the film even being made. That they'd lash it with unkind reviews was only to be expected.

I'm certainly no less keen to see it now.

It doesn't premiere until Fri, right, or are certain journalists given advanced access? It sure reads like a hit piece with an agenda. I'm not sure this author watched more than the 8-minute trailer.
