THIS is helping boys.

Not shaming them, not having a go at their masculinity, not indoctrinating them in feminist theory, not drugging them, but relaying very basic life skills, helping those too poor to afford some basic respectable clothes, showing some fucking empathy, and showing good male traits.

You know what else would be helpful? If they stopped taking kids away from their dads in family court, and sending kid's dads to prison for low level drug offenses.

Not taking anything away from this guy, good for him, but the fact we need this is fucked up.

If it teaches them confidence, I'm all for it.

If there's any sort of "manners" involved, especially where those manners include being subservient to women, protecting women, etc. then that shit can go out with the rest of the trash from the Middle Ages. Masculinity isn't chivalry, and chivalry isn't masculinity.

I remember when articles about this club came out in the press. Sounds like the usual "ladies first" bullcrap they push on boys from a young age. Nothing truly empowering or different from the usual crap boys are forced to suffer through in schools these days.

Sorry, none of that "ladies first" horse crap is appropriate to teach children anymore. Teach boys never to treat a woman as their better. Do you teach girls to make sandwiches for the boys in school? No. So why on earth would you teach boys to open doors for females? They're not personal butlers for females -- they are there to learn.

Meanwhile, their mostly female teachers run about clapping their hands gleefully when observing boys' servile gestures towards females that are elicited out of the vulnerable who won't know better until they are older.

Our culture is suffering a manhood crisis. The rejection of chivalry as sexism and the decline of gentlemanly standards have left our sons confused about masculinity and led to a corresponding moral degradation of the entire culture.

It is great until it is used as another crutch that is supposed to supplement a missing father.

Moreover, programs like this all too often cut into instructional and/or study time.
