If someone's expressing suicidal thoughts, it's vital that they're put in touch with help ASAP. /r/SuicideWatch is a good subreddit for that, as is /r/SWResources.

If you know their place of residence, there'll almost certainly be similar resources - here in the UK, some big ones include Samaritans, and Breathing Space is big in Scotland too, but you'll be able to search for local services.

And it is true. The thought that I can just kill myself any moment is one of the main reasons I'm able to go on with life. I'm procrastinating for over 20 years by now, still going. Never actually attempted, because "There is not try."

Thanks for posting, and particular thanks for giving a fuck - life can be a very, very lonely place at times, and there are times when the internet is a useful thing.

Not saying that he was for sure faking, but looking at the thread I don't think he took the pills. That was a pretty lethal dose. He disappeared from the thread for about 6 hours, and is now apparently commenting from a psych ward. They usually take your belongings at check-in for a 7 day hold. There is a comment saying that he posted his phone number and location, but I couldn't find a comment with that info, and there aren't any deleted comments either. Not to take away from the gravity of the situation, just suspect.
