Men end-up climbing on roofs, precisely because the law and the courts fail to enforce shared parenting orders. Typically in these situations, women will refuse to let the man see his children, and he will have to take the women to court 10, 20, 30, 40 times. On each occasion, the women will not follow the order, and yet the courts do nothing, as they do not want to send women to prison. And the years pass, and the kids grow-up without a dad. The law and the courts are clearly to blame.
I think the whole concept of the "child's welfare is paramount" is faulty. I think all the parties, regardless of the age should be treated equally, and everyone should be treated in such a way that they feel justice has been done. What is the point of putting the child first, when as a result, one parent become depressed and suicidal?

If I am understanding her correctly, parents have no rights to their own children and if the court wants them to live with little green men on Mars, that is within its power.Since when did government own the children? As for not enforcing custody agreements, that situation is so blatant, it must be deliberate.

Equal parenting works well in Sweden. So, why not here? One reason, of course, is that it will end a free living for many women. She also says the courts decide... But, as we see in many instances, when the woman is not happy with what the court has decided, she simply ignores the court. And the court takes no effective action.
