It's likely the most prominent double standard, where a middle aged man having any kind of sexual contact with teen girl is treated as the worst scum of humanity and threatened with castration (and is sometimes litterally physically attacked), whereas middle aged women having any kind of sexual contact with teen boys is threatened as, not only not as serious of a crime, but in fact a positive thing

I'm prepared to be okay with teen boys being with older women the moment they change the law to make it okay for teen girls being with older men, or even just males their own age.

This is disgusting double standards where male sexuality is demonised and female sexuality is celebrated.

17 is plenty old enough to consent to sex. The commenters are correct that this young man is unlikely to suffer from this encounter. The only thing that makes it morally wrong is that the teacher is in a position of authority.
