I'm sure their point is to remark upon how ridiculous it is to suggest women take precautions to not be victims of rape, but it fails because some of those suggestions are actually useful.

Finally someone gets it.

It's much simpler than that advice...

  1. Of you see a woman who is 'tipsy' or passed-out drunk, leave her alone, do not help her in any way, and stay well clear.

  2. Ask women you meet: "are you a feminist?" If they say 'yes', walk immediately away.

  3. College is a great opportunity to develop and hone the slut/liar/whore avoidance skills you'll need in like. Learn to spot 'crazy' - remember: one in three women have no concept of 'truth' or 'total fucking fiction' - so spot the signs and stay well clear.

  4. Stay away from fatties, depressives, trendies, feminists, SJWs, bullies and other demented fucktards.

In other words, the ones you suggested keeping away from are the ones with systemic power, where your physical strength not only doesn't help, it's a liability that gives them more power.

... at least until we change the system toward equality.

Pretty much, and really we make all these things way more complicated than some Red Pillers sometimes suggest.

Just ask a load of questions to find out if a woman is faithfull, or a feminist (i.e. thinks men are sub-human) wants a free-ride etc.

This has to be satire.

This is clearly supposed to be a joke article making fun of the idea of women taking safety precautions...

...but almost all of this is good advice.

1: Yep, as this sub has often said, record and have proof of everything.

2: This isn't limited to rape specifically, but yes. I don't know how many times I've been doing something totally innocent and seriously asked myself the question: "Is someone going to think my behavior is creepy or suspicious?" There are SO many cases of men being mistaken for creepers for taking photos in a public place, just using their phones and not actually taking pictures, or just being a man with children in public. Hell, being mistaken for a criminal can literally get you killed, especially if you're black or Hispanic. Trayvon Martin had 911 called on him, and was then followed and assaulted because he was walking home in a rich neighborhood and some paranoid fuck thought he was casing places.

3: Again, this falls into the general theme that as a man, you have to be conscious of people misidentifying you as a threat. Sure, I might not want to cut across the unlit park at night, but I don't, not just because I'm afraid of being attacked by criminals, but because I'm afraid of someone seeing a male figure in an unlit area and calling the cops.

4: Again; drunk woman? Seen as vulnerable. Drunk man? Seen as dangerous. A man who is drunk to the point of incapacitation can be raped just as easily as a woman can, and you can't trust someone who would take advantage of an incapacitated person to not make a pre-emptive accusation to avoid consequences.

5: You mean the stereotypical "dudebro" outfit? Baseball caps, tank tops or sports jerseys, etc? Or maybe something like a fedora?

[–]MalibuStayZ 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Point 6 sounds dangerous. If you're alone, you have no alibi.

False accusations can happen to any one man

FTFY

[–]rubiklogic 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think this is just saying that false rape accusations are a serious problem now.

This reminds of a line from the late Robin Williams' Live at the Met show:

A woman ... would never make a weapon that kills - no, no. They'd make a weapon that makes you feel real bad for a while ...

I'm generalising obviously, but I find it amazing how often it happens that when a woman is feeling shitty and anxious about something she feels a need to find the nearest man and rather than find a solution she does something to him that will make him feel as shitty and anxious as she is.

If I'm miserable, you have to be too.

It's satire, not actual advice being presented

[–]IRKittyz -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, see. You're using the same arguement as the feminists now. This is about protecting yourself from false accusations and not being a dumbass.
