I consider myself a true introvert. I'm not shy or self conscious is social settings. I just dislike small talk and anything that feels pretentious. A lot of interactions I encounter fall in this category especially in a college setting.

I can operate in social settings and be quite charming and funny but my social battery runs low fairly quickly and for the most part I prefer solitude. I would consider myself a lone wolf especially on my journey of self-improvement/ actualization. This journey can be inherently isolating; people don't understand why I do the things I do and why I live my life the way I do, and my obsession with living purposefully. I'd perfer to surround myself with like minded people; however, I don't meet too many.

In terms of how masculine ("alpha") I'm perceived is my lack of interest in the social sphere a hindrance. Internally I dont feel like I'm missing much. But when thinking about what makes a man alpha social status is brought up a lot. And i simply dont care for cultivating it; at least as it relates to my college surroundings. I also have a rebellious nature as well in terms of social status and hierarchies.

With that said I want to challenge myself to try to pick up any piece of potential that may be lying around. Is it worth it or can an introvert like myself who is socially calibrated just not socially invested still be seen as alpha? Especially in this hyperconnected world. I dont have social media either.
