META: Does any one else get auto downvoted?

Thay sounds like someone is following your account and dowvoting. Its not automatic, a person is consciously doing it.

There are also allegedly bots that move around Reddit downvoting posts/threads.

Someone explained it once but it was a bit tinfoil hat for my tastes

I had this happen to a previous account I had. I ended up with about ten downvotes on everything I wrote, and they would come in within about an hour of posting them. My baseline is usually just 1 point for everything I post, but my new baseline became about -10. I complained to the reddit admins and got no response - I think someone was using a bot or multiple bot accounts to follow me.

My account had been silenced. So I started this one. Now I'm happy with the new name that I've had for four years, but it was a major pain in the ass to have to start a new account (I like having a karma score and a history of posts).

All the women related subreddits delete comments that are contrary to their agenda. It really defeats the beauty that is Reddit. It also prevents readers from learning other valid opinions. I've learned to take poplar comments with a grain of salt as often the gems are closer to the bottom of the feed.
