Well this seems like the first result that's worth a damn, other than that one where the university was stupid enough to actually call the male student a rapist and then got sued for defamation.

How did this case go so much better than almost all the others?

Was the university burned because it forgot to cross its T's and dot its I's?

[did I get the apostrophes correct there?]

In other words was the settlement on the basis of stupid stuff that other colleges can just not do while continuing to fuck male students over, or was it because of anything inherent to the whole kangaroo court situation?

Well, don't get too optimistic yet. If I recall correctly, Universities that adopt kangeroo courts run by feminists to handle rape allegations, gets way more than quarter million a year in funding. So this dent won't dissuade them of anything. Money talks.

Corporatized universities would rather pay this kind of money out routinely than offer men due process and fair treatment. This is chump change to them.

The settlement should be higher by a factor of ten or twenty. Only then will sexist chivalrist misandric greedy universities factor in fairness and due process.

Also, no point in settling if they don't make a commitment to to change their policies.
