Why should ordinary working women side with a multi-millionaire lawyer just because she's a woman? Women like the reporter are so divorced from ordinary worries and anxieties they don't know what's going on. There isn't a single US law anyone could point to that disadvantages women, and a lot of laws and social approaches that benefit them. In other words, for most women, equality is a step down.

The article presumes women would normally go differently than Thatcher, and be pro-women, just like they presume the current men in business and politics are pro-men.

Except when is the last time they passed a pro-man law? The violence against men act? The alimony-for-men act? The custody-for-men act? Oh yeah, never.
