The striking part here though:

Both the Home Office and the Department for Education have slipped back since 2011. That year, the DfE had more women than men in its senior team – 57% – but the figure has now fallen to 43%.

Before, they were 57%, that was good, now they are 43%, that is bad. It needs to be 50+%, doesn't it?

Oh, and I did notice women are 54% of the labor force. But that's not what feminism is about, is it? It's all about the powerful positions. After all, in patriarchy it is who's on top that counts.

There will NEVER be parity at the top levels across genders. Never. It's not possible.

People need to understand that men and women are actually different. One of the most significant ways is that males are more diverse than females. "Mother nature was too smart to waste reproductive potential on environment testing."

So when you are looking for the best at X, there are more men than women in that group. The idea that there will be demographic representation between men and women at the top levels of anything is bunk. It flies in the face if biological reality.

There is no "problem" to be fixed. There will always be more men than women at the top. The reason is because of those who have the skills/attributes/talents to be at the top there are more men than women.

So because middle class women want to marry middle class men who can support them, and chose to work less because they have that passive income and get a raft of legal advantages because they do, and that causes gaps in the grubby corporate work - its oppression.

Sorry for the run on sentence.

Pretty much, yeah. It's good to know that the news watch out for this oppression though, otherwise we might focus on less important issues, like the legal system, or circumcisions.

[–]ee4m 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, the real oppression is wealthy women opting to take time off, who get paid on average more than men until they start taking time off, not being paid and promoted at the same rate as people who do overtime and don't take this time off.

Better focus on that than the oppression of the working class, stagnating wages since the 1970s, homelessness and so on.

[–]Ovendice 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And just think of all of the REAL problems we have, yet this is the focus of the president, Feminists and the Left in general- this is all they can talk about. And rape. And it's all fiction. Meanwhile men have actual problems that are REAL.

[–]MonkeyCB 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Because they don't want to fix actual problems. Mandatory paid maternity leave would go further and help more women than what he's proposing right now.

Well no company is going to pay a secretary a 6 figure income like a chemical engineer makes, or work more hours, work in high paying dangerous jobs, successful in sales, etc. SO the only way left to make men and women's pay 'equal' is to lower men's salaries and wages! And put caps on how many hours they work, etc. Thus Socialism.

That's why the government keeps pretending there is a wage gap based on prejudice- so they can implement Socialism. And then eventually Communism. That's what Agenda 21 is all about and they are already implementing it in San Francisco and Los Angeles. There is already a push from the government to stop allowing overtime, which of course will obviously mostly effect men because women not only don't work overtime, they want to work part time (and/or not at all.

I wouldn't say it's all fiction. I mean, wage gap, sure. But rapes exist, and society should still work towards minimizing it.

But legal disparity clearly needs recognition in the political sphere. Recognition and proposed solutions.
