Saying that feminist ideology is forcefully fed to the point of preventing critical thinking is FAR from saying men are superior, women are inferior, or hating women.

It's basically saying "smell the coffee", rather than have other people think for you.

I guess he has some enemies in his profession. But mainly another bunch of twerps who say "misogyny" all the time

It's telling that this article entirely focuses on women in medieval studies and how it's such a good thing that no one is standing for Frantzen's misogyny ...

... when the post of his that they linked to says nothing that is really misogynistic. Hell, they even say:

"How many female Ph.D. students has he supervised? Interviewed for jobs? Listened to their papers? Accepted them onto courses, into conferences?" wrote Lavinia Collins, a novelist influenced by Mr. Frantzen, in a blog post. "Knowing that, all the while, this respected man who has had so much to contribute to the world of scholarship has never viewed women as capable of the same contribution, is immensely sad."

When, unless I missed something major, there is absolutely nothing in that post that suggests he views women as being less capable.

They make big jumps from him saying it's okay to criticize feminism to he's a horrible creature who has ruined lives of women he's taught.

Homophobia is common in this field says a queer woman! Several paragraphs later we find out this guy is gay and wildly successful.

Unashamedly biased article but the truth of it came through.
