Per the mod's request I have reformatted this as a Change My View post. The following is my view on what women bring to the table, do you agree? disagree? don't know? or have something else to offer or have any criticisms to put forth? anyone is welcome to try and change my view or offer a new perspective.

This post is a followup to my previous post here where I asked what women bring to the table when seeking a relationship with a man. I specifically asked what do women think they have or what they can bring to a relationship that would be of value to a man and further entice him into committing to her.

The answers that I got were mostly good ones in that a lot of women are aware of the services they provide and other intangible benefits that they bring to men. Other women were so at a loss to find any value in themselves that they believed that they alone are the prize, and that no further effort - apart from exiting- should be required of them in order to be desirable to men. Still other women believed that their only value to men is that of sexual objects of desire and from this they try to extract a deeper connection from men which I think is heartbreaking as hell. These women think they have to trade sex for love and affection and that they are only deserving of love and affection if they are sexually desirable and nothing else.

So I am going to spell out everything that women do actually bring to the table besides their bodies and hopefully both men and women can get some perspective on this and build on these factors in order to construct better relationships and a better understanding of the humanity of the other person.

  1. Women bring their service. Women can be a man's right hand when she busies herself with chores, I know this is a big one with women but it's in fact a value women bring to the table: They wash, clean, cook, plan, etc and all the little things in between from fussing over his tie to finding his keys. A woman who concerns herself with the welfare of a man enough to give him her service like a secretary, maid, accountant, masseuse, nurse, and cook is highly valuable! Ladies, this is what you bring to the table. This is why conscientious men appreciate you.
  2. Women bring their experience. A woman who has been in the world long enough is going to have skills and experiences that men may not have. And when a woman is in a man's life she brings these experiences with her and shares them in the form of wisdom and insight. Men can benefit from women's perspective on things when we would otherwise be limited to our own point of view. The point of view of a go-getter for example is going to be blind to the perceptions of a passive woman who spends more time reflecting on the finer details. Men stand the benefit of a second pair of eyes who has seen and experienced the world in her own way and who has gathered a 2nd lifetime's worth of knowledge, wisdom, experience, and information which many women gladly share with men they love or whom they are simply friends with.
  3. Women bring their world view. A woman is going to have her own set of values and opinions and these can benefit a man when they give him an insight that he otherwise could not get though his point of view. The passenger is going to see a different side of the road than that of the driver. This makes women intriguing to explore because she is an independent thinking being with her own thoughts and feelings. This is valuable to a man because it means a woman is our intellectual equal whom we can share our own life, thoughts and feelings with and she can appreciate it and reciprocate in kind. If men only valued companionship without a brain then we would just get a dog. We value women because they are persons like us. They are not mindless objects whom we can't share our humanity with. They are in fact smaller humans (in general) who think for themselves and that is valuable.
  4. women bring their own resources. Women have their own networks, connections, friends, properties, money, and just stuff that they can lovingly share with men. This is a benefit to a man in that he broadens his social circle, and acquires more resources at his disposal through her. A woman is a whole other human being and so she is going to come with all her own resources both tangible (material) and intangible (such as her social network, skills, and abilities.) These are valuable things and when lovingly given to a man her value can skyrocket in his eyes just from this gesture alone.
  5. women bring their bodies. Cannot ignore the big one. On a carnal level yes, women's physical bodies are valuable not just for sexual pleasure but for the fact that she can bear children and is physically capable of being a second pair of eyes, hands, ears, and a 2nd brain to our own. This is very valuable. A woman's physical presence is desirable even if she is just a sleeping lump in bed next to us at night quietly breathing and occasionally stirring - a man can feel appreciation just having her there reflecting on the day that was just spent with her and the day that is to come when she wakes.
  6. women bring their loyalty. A woman having a man's back is worth the world. Her loyalty makes her a man's confidant, the one person she can be honest with and share his true thoughts and feelings with. The one listens and that special person on whom he can lay his head on. Loyalty is paid with loyalty, when a woman is loyal to a man one cannot help but be loyal to her and this type of union helps a man bear the burdens of life much more easily because he knows he has a partner he can rely on, a woman whose intentions he doesn't have to question is of extreme value!
  7. women bring their skills. Women have talents that they can share and apply towards a man's benefit. If a woman is a nurse for example she is bringing all that skill with her to the relationship, if she is a lawyer or even just a server she is going to have her own set of abilities that she can share with a man and provide him with the value of these towards his life. These can be anything from knowing how to hem pants to baking cookies or even bedroom skills. Anything of unique or mundane skills that she brings is an added value which a man can benefit from.
  8. women bring companionship. At the core of any relationship with a woman is the fact that she has the potential to be a companion, a fellow traveler in the course of life whom we can share the road while lightening our burdens through cooperation and an intimate understanding of each other's needs and frailties. At the end of the day a woman is another human being who is there, who listens, talks, and whom we can share things. Women have to deal with a lot of the same problems we deal with as well as a set of all her own unique problems. Companions help each other, keep each other company. It satisfies a man's heart to not just receive help and value from a woman but to also bestow it on her, to do good by her gives men a sense of benevolent gratification. We want to do good to women just to see how our actions brightens their day, makes them smile and feel happy. The power to do good, even when it requires a sacrifice, is always a superior feeling than the power to harm, even if we benefit from it. A woman's companionship gives men a chance to practice doing good and to give to her instead of just taking.

This is as best as I could articulate what I find that women bring to the table. This is all stuff that I find very valuable from women and not just a girlfriend but from all women. She could be my neighbor my colleague, my girlfriend or just my best friend, she would still bring several of these valuable things into my life which I would appreciate her all the more for it.

I wish to start a discussion here about this topic because honestly I find it sad how women don't know what their true value is. What their true worth is to conscientious men and how irreplaceable they are as human beings. Unless a guy is a total psychopath each woman is a unique person and one can't just swap one girl for another anymore than you can swap your sister for a new one or your mom for a better mom. It all starts with seeing women as people and then reflecting on how much it would suck if each individual woman is taken from your life.
