Me ex girlfriend was bi polar as they come. She also suffered from depression. She would self medicate herself with alcohol and when she would get drunk she would always resort to laying her hands on me(4 times). I let it go the first three times and the last time I confronted her(calmly) about something that was very disrespectful to me, as her boyfriend, she started slapping me multiple times. I attempted to hold her arms down to no avail. The only thing that stopped her was when I "backhanded" her. Now, when I say "backhanded" her, it was more like when two guys will flick each other with the back of their hand like a nut tag, it wasn't hard at all. She was belligerent drunk and being loud, a neighbor called the cops(we live in an apartment) and guess who got arrested? Me, she had bruises on her arms(from me holding her arms down to stop hitting me) and I was found guilty a month ago and charged with assault on a female. The judge was female as well as the DA. My ex was prescribed Lamictal and Welbutrin. She never took her medicine and has anger issues. I'm the one now that is on probation for a year and has to take anger management classes. How fucked up is that?

I have not had a woman hit me in years until today. Coming off shift in the hospital, there's a chick that works on the opposite shift that I've joked with maybe one time.

She proceeds to get (I assume) jokingly offended by something I said to another co-worker and fucking punches me in the arm and then in the stomach. And these were not taps, this short bitch launched. Now I'm not a small dude, so I took it as a joke and played along at the time because I didn't want to make a scene. Now I'm looking back at it like - why am I conditioned to let women lay hands on me? If I responded, it's guaranteed someone would make me out to be an asshole too.
