She admittedly makes more money than him, and still was going to ask for alimony. Then when the judge merely has her pay child support (not alimony), all of a sudden it's unfair?

Fuck this bitch. This is the one time in a million that the family courts actually worked in a fair way.

Relevant story time: My soon to be ex-wife absconded with our 3 year old daughter on 10/28/14. She claimed that I punched her on the arm, pressed charges and filled a restraining order. At court for the restraining order she admitted that I hadn't really punched her, we were just playfully wrestling but she wanted to leave because I insisted that she get a job and it made her mad, and she needed a restraining order because she was a woman and I was stronger. The judge dismissed the case. The next day she fled the state with my child. I filled for custody and hired a PI to find them. About 3 months passed, but we finally found the bitch and forced her to come back for court.

During this time I had no contact at all with my child. I nearly lost my mind. At court she told them that I had an anger problem, that I was violent, that I was abusive, that she had to abscond with our daughter because the restraining order was dismissed and that was the only way she could be safe. I calmly testified that I had no anger problem, I have never been convicted of any crime, I have never abused my child. I had our child's doctor in court to testify that she saw no signs of abuse and several close family friends to testify that they had never witnessed any violent outbursts.

The judge told her that she had trashed me, but presented no evidence and that absconding with a child was a huge red flag. I was awarded physical and legal custody, she has supervised visitation and has to attend counseling before the court will consider unsupervised visitation.

Tl;Dr: My STBX absconded with our daughter and made several false accusations. After 3 months and $9k in legal fees I won physical and legal custody.

My blood is boiling. My mother got custody and dropped me with her parents where his brother and sister were fucking abusive, either verbally or worst.

Child support was never given to my grandparents, she kept it for herself because she couldn't get a decent job.

I cried and begged to live with her and it never worked, until I figured out she was a horrible parent, then I asked my dad and boy, when he found out about what kind of shit was really going on he did all he could to keep me with him.
