I was speaking of a study done by a researcher who was trying to quantify incidents of Israeli soldiers raping Palestinian women.

Her research wasn't able to uncover any incidents of such. I ventured no opinion on whether her findings (or lack of them) were accurate or not. It was her conclusion that I was interested in.

Her conclusion was that Israeli Jews hate Palestinians so much they see Palestinian women as not even human enough to rape. If she had found many such incidents, I'm sure she would have blamed that on Israeli Jews' hatred for Palestinians, too and their attitude that Palestinians are sub-human.

I brought it up as an example of how, for ideologues, all roads lead to one conclusion. Her inability to find even one case could not possibly be because the Israeli military is highly disciplined and intolerant of such behavior, even if only for PR purposes because they are subject to regular criticism and condemnation so they have to be on their best behavior all the time.

I also wanted to touch on the self-hatred phenomenon that seems quite prevalent in modern societies. The researcher who came to this conclusion based on the data was herself an Israeli Jew.

Another example of all roads leading to one conclusion would be feminists claiming that universities with many reports of rape are hotbeds of rape and misogyny, while universities with few or no reports of rape are hotbeds of rape, misogyny and underreporting.

Another example would be claiming success for the "Don't be THAT guy" poster campaign in two cities simultaneously. One saw reports go up, and they interpreted that as women being more willing to report as a result of the posters. One saw reports go down, and they interpreted that as fewer rapes happening as a result of the posters.

Again, I was speaking of a particular study and its findings, and the conclusions of its author in the context of two phenomena common to ideological thinking, not making a statement of fact about whether or not rape occurs in this context.

There is as much reason to believe her as there is not to. I think it's a bit bold of a statement, but we're talking opinions, not facts.

Considering how things played out, I wouldn't be surprised if she were right.

Contrary to what some believe, Israel didn't plan or intend to evict Palestinians. They didn't want to. Jews immigrated to Palestine over time, and rose to political power. This caused tension between the two groups, but it wasn't until massive violence broke out (gangs of arabs, and not just Palestinians, attacking and killing Israelis) that the eviction and segregation happened.

It wasn't one group conquering another, regardless if what some believe.

You can criticize them, but the women of the mens movement still get the PP.

So you will never see attacks like you will against say, Paul Elam.
