ELI5 Locked thread: Why is the rate of male suicide so much higher than it is for woman?

All the comments say "Open up about your problems" and the Mods delete anything that has to do with men having a rough time. It's just funny at this point. Most people don't even care about us.

I can understand why they chose to lock the thread. While it's an important conversation the subreddit ELI5 (Explain it like I'm 5) doesn't really seem like it's the best place for a discussion that we are selves are trying to figure out. It's not something you can explain simply it's something that has multiple factors. ELI5 is a sub for concise and simplistic answers to complex questions. I don't believe suicide is a topic that can be simplified.

Haha, the whole top comment thread is a zombie with over a hundred deleted comments. I posted an ELI5 asking what happened, but this is better.

I didn't see much that hasn't already been said. But it sure makes me feel valued that I can't even say it because somebody un-safed the space or whatever.
