A violent inexcusable crime, but not at all unexpected considering the motive behind it is easy to understand given the likely context. People do turn to self destructive violence out of desperation and contempt, especially when they are forced into dire financial situations. This happens a lot in child support cases as well. some Men who are pushed into poverty over outrageous child support/alimony amounts tend to act on the thought: "If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me" . Though more commonly you just see men commit willful contempt of court, get locked up either because they refuse to pay or can't pay or just commit suicide.

This is a men's rights issue how ?

This guy did a terrible thing and deserves to be punished harshly. According to the story they were both 69 which implies that she spent many years taking "earning" her alimony.

Maybe it was too high or otherwise unreasonable but I'm not sure how anybody could justify her being beaten to death. Frankly, if it were the case that he wouldn't have even have enough left after garnishment to live then why did he go after his ex-wife rather than the judge ? (which, by the way, I'm certainly not suggesting he should have done. Just saying that it seems like a more natural target)

I'm sure some will argue the alimony doesn't begin to justify his actions but I'm wondering what the details were. IE was the alimony something outrageous where he didn't see another way out? Was this a long fight that broke him?

She likely abused him subjected him to DV for mmany years prior to divorce rape. Women get off using this excuse so why shouldnt men.

This is a sad story. There is no way to justify such an action as murder. There just isn't. I don't like the idea of alimony either, but it's no justification.

This man deserves the death penalty.

You do NOT refuse to pay your alimony, and decide to beat her to death to avoid paying.

You refuse to marry in the first place.

This is dispicable.
